Thanks - that's very helpful. I have an old Thule rear load carrier (which I'd forgotten I had). I'll play around with that and see if I can bolt it to the NG1 carrier bars.
Rather than carry a roof box, I was wondering whether there is a cargo box that anyone would recommend that would bolt onto the cycle carrier tubes - would be less noise/impact on range and less likely to drop something on the glass roof...
Any thoughts?
Thanks.
Having similar issues and also looking at the Cel-Fi option. How well has the system worked? I can only get 1 bar in our upstairs bedroom but need to be able to 'repeat' the 4G to the car located below the bedroom on the driveway where there is no signal.
Do you think it would work?
I've already had a replacement heater when I only got cold air coming out of the vents. This time it's only cold on the driver's side - hot air comes out of the passenger air vents. Sounds like the valves need a bit of oil!
Just got my car back from Porsche and discovered that the driver's side is blowing cold air regardless of what temperature is set. Sounds just like your issue - how did you get it resolved?
It seems every region has a slightly different approach. The fact that Porsche in the UK appear happy to sell a car that they state shouldn't be charged at home is surprising.
This thread shows the letter I suspect the dealer has;
https://www.taycanforum.com/forum/threads/arb6-recall-notice-uk.22854/
It does specifically state - "we would advise not to charge the vehicle under cover and or ensure the vehicle is not parked adjacent to or under buildings"...
It's so good to hear positive ownership stories. As has been said by many, these forums do tend to skew views due to most posts only raising problems. I'm starting to feel slightly more in favour of keeping my car (if Porsche can resolve all the issues...)
Another in the positive column! I really want to keep my Taycan but the reliability has been so bad. As there are no alternatives that float my boat, I'm torn between accepting a car that potentially continues to be unreliable/buy another Taycan (if I can find one in the spec I want)/purchase...
I traded in a BMW X5 for the Taycan - it was my most reliable car I've had in years, which probably has put the Taycan into perspective with the number of continual faults. I wanted to switch away from SUVs and liked the Taycan CT as a modern Audi Allroad (again had several of these - superb...
Fortunately mine had the WRS0 recall which meant that I didn't have to worry about charging near my house. It's the fact that Porsche are selling a car that a customer would not be able to charge at home and has a limited battery until they resolve the software monitoring that was most...
My 911 in 25 yrs of ownership has been an absolute rock (old school cars really are generally bullet proof). Glad to hear a positive Taycan ownership story - there don't seem to be many about...
Hmm - it's that type of experience which suggests I really should look elsewhere as the Taycan as nice as it is, just doesn't seem to be reliable enough.
