So more rain today and fairly cold and my brakes are behaving normally and the pedal is firm and consistent. I'm really thinking my reset, the 5 deliberate stops to bed the brakes helped and maybe recalibrated something between the pedal, booster and calipers.
The reality is I mostly just...
For me, the most recent issue which sounds a lot like yours is in the rain, or cold damp mornings where you can imagine there is condensation on the brakes. While I've only had one shot at running my experiement bedding the brakes, it did seem to work well. It seems that Porsche, particularly...
Digging up an old topic here, but has anyone had any resolve on this?
I have a CT4S with PSCBs
For some context, I've been around the block on brake issues on my car, it's been back probably half a dozen times and spent over 100 days in service to solve the soft pedal issue. After the booster...
My '21 CT4S is normally around 185 miles at 85%... and I generally drive it really easy... coasting around town for 5-10 miles to drop the kids off before setting the cruising on the highway btw 55 and 70 for a 15 mile commute to the city.
Not sure if it's the extra weight of the hatch or...
This is where my head is as well. I love my Taycan CT4S, spec'd it out just the way I wanted it and never thought I'd have the privelage of having such a premium car to call my own, but I definitely have more than a tinge of envy over the new car's increased range, efficiency and performance...
I like the idea of that. On my eGolf you can cycle through three modes of regen by moving the shifter left or right, but if you pull back on it, it goes to max regen. I treat it light I'm downshifting when coming into a corner and it works great. I agree with Porsche's philosophy of coasting and...
I've had repeat issues with my brake pedal travel on MY2022 CT, but no issues on MY2020 Turbo even though the Turbo has done a lot of miles.. On my CT, they replaced the booster, bled the brakes several times, replaced the ABS unit, bled everything again and it seemed to have gotten better...
Wow, awesome! That is some serious ADHD.
I have an early 4SCT (took delivery Nov 2021) and have a 2020 Turbo with my business. I've been curious about the better range and performance of af the GTS ST, at least on paper and am starting to wonder if it might be worth trading up, although I've...
Admidedly, it's at an annoying frequency, but further proof that EVs aren't silent. I would like to see a future where manufacturers tune what you hear out of the natural sounds of the motor... so, like a sport exhaust, your sport option is a different case with chambers and resonators that tune...
Sorry to hear that. For what it's worth, I stopped at a Tesla Magic Dock charger in upstate New York on my way back from the Grand Prix in Montreal and had no issues. Incidentally, I wasn't seeking it out, it was just the next closest option when the EVolve NY charger I tried to go to first...
Me too. My previous car was a hotrodded eGolf. Basically the electric GTi they never built with lowered suspension, bilstein sport shocks, the aero bits from an eTrophy race car and plaid GTD seats. I haven't sold that car yet and if I'm being honest, it's better and more fun for my daily city...
245 miles on 85%! I'm typically showing 220 miles on 100% and more like 185-190 on 85%. I think I've got an issue with my rear diff or gearbox though. Groans at low speed <10mph. I've had it back to Porsche and they replaced a bunch of parts, including the rear motor, but it still does it.
Strange, I wonder why my day to day is so different than my overall average. I generally drive like an old granny too. As soon as I hit the highway on my way to work, I put it on Range mode and set the ADAS at 70mph
What range do you typically get out of a full charge?
MIne is a '22 as well...
I was impressed by your 3.5mi/kwh since I can rarely break 3.0mi/kwh on mine and in realtime it's more like 2.5-2.8mi/kwh, but then I looked at my total trip data on the app which is showing 3.3mi/kwh. How is that possible if I rarely hit 3.0 on a daily basis?
I am having my car checked out currently for a similar sound, but I'm pretty sure it's coming from the rear differential. It happens when backup up slowly on the brakes, slowing down and turning at lows speed or turning full lock to the left at low speed. Sounds like I have a subwoofer in the...
I had a similar situation over the brake issue on my car. I ended up taking the money and keeping the car and am happy with that. I would have had to replace it with another every day electric car and while I could kind of get with a Mach E GT or a Polestar for half the price, I knew I'd miss...
My passenger window doesn't go on auto and is really slow. On my wife's MB something similar happened and there was a reset procedure, I'm imagining there is a similar thing here. A quick google turned this one up, it's for a GT4, but I imagine the procedure is the same accross all porsches
