Uniden R7 Radar Detector -> On sale on Amazon today for $384. I ordered an R3, but thinking about switching my order. The R7 has direction arrows which are very useful, but I wonder if they would even work with the privacy glass on the Taycan? Does anyone know?
LOL! My dealer already warned me to expect it to be later then what the site shows. I've also heard that feedback from many GM's to Porsche NM that it leading customers to think their car will be ready sooner then it actually will be lol
Was just finally updated, thank you for the reminder to check, it does look correct now. Except that it's missing the boat my car is on - departed Emden March 2nd, 2021 - should be arriving at port in Rhode Island in a few days I hope.
I have a Taycan Turbo incoming (delivery in a few weeks). The dealership offers Tungsten Ceramic Coating coating & Ultimar Paint Protection. I have never used either on previous cars. Does anyone have experience with either? What should pricing look like for them and are they worth it?
It's going to be tricky. Technically, Porsche doesn't have any obligations on replacement parts. I'm sure they prioritize all parts towards production right now vs. replacements/accidents. If anything, you might have some pull with the insurance company given the situation - see if they'll cover...
:CWL: I was going to go with a "safer" color on the 911 Cab I was ordering originally, but felt like the brighter colors aren't as obnoxious on the Taycan. I have yet to receive the car, so we'll see lol. My last Porsche was Rhodium Silver, so it's definitely a big jump.
"Ice Grey" -> You can...
Nice. Can you post a picture when you get it? Etsy has some options if you're willing to go with a leather holster set up:

(yes I know it's the wrong key type for that specific listing)
Has anyone found a good source for key fob covers? Looking for one in green for my incoming Mamba Green Taycan. Was hoping to avoid paying the ~$150 MSRP for 2 pieces of plastic. Looking around amazon/ebay, most seem to be for the older style key and nothing in green. Has anyone found anything good?
For those affected by this delay - is porsche or the dealership offering any compensation? I know for the end-of-year 911 delays (CARB related), they wound up offering 1st service visit free or something like that for the delay.
Mine is now "Arrival Emden Port". Does anyone have the latest ship schedules? Just curious to see when it ships out. It's pacing 2 weeks ahead of schedule so far.
If you're okay with doing the LA Experience Center pickup, you can literally order from ant dealership. DM me if you want me to loop you in with a dealership that can get you great deal.
I think over 155-160, I'd go for the Turbo. You're on the cusp. Also, keep in mind discounts might be higher for the Turbo (depending on the dealership). Try to price out the Turbo and see what the delta is.
