EU/UK: Ongoing navigation issues [Solved with PCM v3892]

Well, I received the following email with the attachment from Germany shared with my local dealership: Dear Colleagues, We are contacting you on behalf of one of your customers: Mr. János Bognár BP: 3200045542 Following guidance received from our Technical Department, we kindly ask you to...

EU/UK: Ongoing navigation issues [Solved with PCM v3892]

As others mentioned before with switched of Charging Planner (tested now) it is not crashing. So the solution will maybe not easy. This seems hardware issue as processing or memory. Or needs new program that not crashes the existing hardware. Nav without Charging Planner is more or less useless.

EU/UK: Ongoing navigation issues [Solved with PCM v3892]

As many others reported before new PCM did not solve the issue. Since we have 1 dealership per country, taking elsewhere is not an option. Additionally I communicate directly with 'Smartmobility and Porsche Connect', not a dealership issue. Of course I reported it back them immediately both...

EU/UK: Ongoing navigation issues [Solved with PCM v3892]

Other. While I was waiting for the software update my SA is offered me a J1.2 order, any model with 25% off. Still not need this, will definitely go back to 911.

EU/UK: Ongoing navigation issues [Solved with PCM v3892]

I just received the attached update. After 6-8 mins drive the nav crashed as before. After 5-8 restarts it stays blacked out with the blue circle rounding in the middle continuously. Only restarts again when the car stopped and closed for a while. Than again the same, couple of mins drive with...

Next gen (second generation) Taycan platform is "locked" and coming late 2027

Factory tires and setup. I do not tracking the Taycan seriously, just couple of occasions in the past to know/learn/experience its limits. It is far not a track car. Its weight eating tires and brakes unbelievably next to that, 60-80kms the max. track distance if pushing. But again I am not so...

Next gen (second generation) Taycan platform is "locked" and coming late 2027

Well, 911s are selling pretty well, actually on historical top in 2025 again. Sold almost 3 times more than Taycan EV. I mentioned the model variant GTS sells (relatively) not well that is hybrid (t-hybrid). All other 911 model variants were pure ICE in 2025.

Next gen (second generation) Taycan platform is "locked" and coming late 2027

I am sorry but ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) is far not equal to Hybrid where the battery is a significant part of the energy source. categories are: ICE BEV PHEV HEV mHEV Maybe the last one (Mild Hybrid) can be taken as an ICE, but the others are definitely different categories. Precisely...

Next gen (second generation) Taycan platform is "locked" and coming late 2027

I have no idea about the percentage, but probably not much. Especially the low center of gravity masks nicely the weight penalty of EVs. My thinking is too motorsport driven taking my background. Although I don't drive dangerously fast on the roads, but enjoy to be on a kind of limits of the...

Next gen (second generation) Taycan platform is "locked" and coming late 2027

Not many and not the best idea. Tires and brakes can't keep up with the weight, battery can't keep up for long, not easy to charge etc. It is good to test and learn the limits of your car but not more. Good fun actually, Taycan is a really capable car on track as well.

Next gen (second generation) Taycan platform is "locked" and coming late 2027

Here you are (pics only video file is too big to share): If you interested in track medias I have a lot. I am tracking everything even my bicycle.

Next gen (second generation) Taycan platform is "locked" and coming late 2027

That is hybrid (battery+ engine) not ICE. Hybrids are heavy like a hell, no doubt. We discussed originally ICE/BEV. Hybrids of course heavier with the added engine to the battery than an only battery car. Copy/pasted from your post: "I said MODERN ICE CARS ARE NOT LIGHTER THAN EVs." So again...

Next gen (second generation) Taycan platform is "locked" and coming late 2027

I just shared facts against of your statements on weight Panamera per Taycan. Using words stupid, ridiculous, uneducated people etc. maybe not the best way to discuss anything. Even filled with smiling faces at the end of almost every line. Different culture.

Next gen (second generation) Taycan platform is "locked" and coming late 2027

Taycan GTS DIN 2,285kg Panamera GTS DIN 2,065kg Apple to apple still significant diff, 220kg is not negligible added with a fact of that Panamera min half size bigger category than Taycan in every dimension. Per my garage 911 is 806kg lighter than a Taycan.

Deliveries of Taycan year 2025 down (again) 22 per cent to 16,339 sold cars.

Unfortunately when Taycan sold higher volume new, used prices were higher. Used prices are tanking independently from the decreasing new numbers. It means demand for used Taycans decreases faster than the sold new number, new car buyers are selling the cars in masses still with whatever reason...

Deliveries of Taycan year 2025 down (again) 22 per cent to 16,339 sold cars.

Yeah.... I frequently check prices, in the last half a year there is another EUR10k price drop from EUR80k to EUR70k on a 2022 GTS. I hoped it will stabilize around 80K for a while well, not.
