Battery gets to the right temperature before arriving to the charging station, so the charging is faster/more efficient.
It currently only works if you’re using the internal navigation app, not 3rd party like Apple or Google Maps.
During the Developers Conference this past week, Apple provided more details around their new CarPlay. They focused on how customizable the interface is, which has been recurring complaint.
Porsche was announced to be one of the firsts to embrace it, although no word on which model.
Curious to...
@electricsidecar it's obviously early as the first Macans aren't available yet, but do you have any indication whether ElectricSidecar would work with them, possibly with just some code adjustments on your end?
FDRS for software updates at $50 is a steal, and FORScan for most setting adjustments is free.
Is there a FORScan equivalent for Porsche to your knowledge?
That is also how it works (worked) on the Ford Mach-e: OTA updates were very infrequent and the fastest way to get the latest software was plugging the car to a power supply and laptop running FDRS.
Over time, OTA updates became much more frequent to the point I ditched my laptop and now get...
Ah that makes complete sense, thank you for clarifying!
Thinking about taking delivery in Atlanta for the Macan EV… but that’s also just shy of 900 miles away from home. Quite the drive back - with at the very least 3 stops to charge.
Thanks for the write up, loved reading it!
Now really makes me want to visit this PCE, would be my first.
Did you take delivery there in the end?
What was the experience like?
Speaking with a Porsche (corporate) rep, he was telling me that taking delivery at PEC allows you to track a car like yours but not the one you just bought.

Or was I ill informed?
Visiting the in-laws and a little tourism.
Funny enough, getting off the plane and entering the terminal, I was welcomed by a large poster for the Macan, I see it as a sign!
Currently in Kraków (Poland) and had the surprise to encounter the upcoming Maserati GranTurismo Folgore in camo.
Its acceleration was very fast, only caught up to it on the highway thanks to the traffic. ?
That makes a ton of sense, thank you for clarifying.
Part of me, call it the responsible side, thinks I don’t need to replace my 18 months old MME. If I were to trade it in today (or say 6 months from now), I’d take a huge loss given the car market right now (even more so with EVs). It’s a very...
Compared to the fella that had their Taycan 4 months at the shop, sounds pretty sweet! ?
I’ll actually be in Krakow in a month, they have a ton of EVs there (lots of i3 to my surprise).
More like trying to make an informed decision and know what to expect.
Thinking of leasing it, get the $7.5k credit, and 3 years later, see what's available on the SSP platform without taking too much of a bath on the devaluation.
