Luckily I have not had any issues with the alarm. I use the Porsche Connect app.
Other than the three issues that I had the car has been great. Such a dream to drive and it's a charging monster so it's perfect for roadtrips.
The dealer was actually able to resolve all my issues. Here's a link to the post I wrote of what they did: https://www.taycanforum.com/forum/threads/pcm-log-in-and-connect-app-issues-resolved.8311/
Good luck.
Taycan Nav is powered by Google.
But I agree that the Nav is hard to look at. They made the background white and the roads another shade of white so it's hard to distinguish.
Wanted to make a post that will hopefully help somebody in the future who encounters the same issues that I've been having and how the dealer was able to resolve it. This is on my '22 4S.
I had three issues that I couldn't fix, and wouldn't go away on their own, for the past couple of weeks:

I have a neighbor here in rural Georgia who is your typical right wing conservative who "shared" something similar on FB. However, this was a post from a lady who spoke with somebody who worked at an energy company and was pointing out the fact that our power grids aren't built for the demand...
I just got back from a road trip to Orlando, from North Georgia, and surprisingly my charging at EA went much better than expected.
I'm having login problems (even though I have a green SOS light) so I'm logged in as a guest but it never affected my plug n' charge.
Charged a total of 10 times...
Just an update that my "map view" on the instrument cluster randomly returned today.
I still can't login but have a green SOS light and seem to have LTE so I'm hesitant to try a reboot in case it makes it worse. Hoping that it works again this week and that it doesn't affect the plug n' charge...
Interesting observation and now that you mention it the same applies to me. The last problem of it not logging into my account is when I stopped to grab lunch. It was in an area that had poor cell reception so I'm thinking that had something to do with it. Unfortunately, the problem still persists.
Picked up my car a week ago and just logged 1K miles on the odom. After a weekend day trip to Asheville, from North Georgia, I just returned from Nashville for business meetings and got to spend some quality seat time in the 4S.
Here are my thoughts on the car after a week:
The Good
- Car...
This is less of a problem on the east coast where our gas prices are not as astronomical so you should be fine.
Had my car for a week and charged at EA three times so far in NC and TN. Twice there was only one other car there and the other time I was alone.
Was only able to pull 150kW so far...
