That's one of many things I've found over the last few washes that really tick me off. They didn't fully wrap my mirrors either, the inner part by my windows are missing wrap, and a handful of other bs
Zoom in closely on the pic you linked and you can see the BS that my installer did if you look closely. It's a large/noticeable gap.

They did a poor job. Don't use my installer as an example. After I did my first hand wash about a week after this, I found a ton of half-ass corner cutting. Specifically the rear tail lights they cut a large gap out of them and didn't seam them together properly.
That corner right below the...
The plastic/non-matched parts are in places that get a lot of debris damage too from road grime, rocks, etc. While I'm not a fan of all the black ABS plastic, it makes sense from a durability perspective given how low slung the car is and the amount of impact they likely take from driving.
All of this looks like a server side/Porsche issue to me. I think the fact that people were seeing 'fixes' with certain things may have been coincidental with regional application or server side fixes being deployed. You have to imagine that Porsche is using CDN and that the app connects to the...
Drove the car to a store, locked it in the parking lot and left it for like 15 minutes. Came back, unlocked it and everything is back working again. Either it's coincidental and Porsche fixed the back end, or resetting the PCM fixed it. Who knows
*shrug*
Also, it looks like this broke on 11/17 based upon the logs in the app. Something seems to have happened in the Porsche back end between the night of 11/17 the next morning when I would have driven my kiddo to school. Wednesday night is the last logged drive I have.
No luck on your method. It might have been a coincidence. I've tried it twice on both Chrome and the Connect app on my phone. Still shows error during charging and old stats. Doesn't have my accurate mileage.
I'll try the app changes today/reinstall. I'm hesitant to log out on the PCM or change my password because by all accounts my car has performed perfectly so far since day 1 (outside of the alarm issue that has the work around).
Everything on the car specifically is working for me, but the app is definitely broken. I rarely use the app as it is, but I tried to preheat/precool this morning since it is cold AF and it shows disconnected and says "Charging error" for my car. The funny thing is that there's been no actual...
Just roll your windows down and yell the words "Engine noises!!!!" at the top of your lungs. It's far classier, and also more affordable. I thought I would regret not having the 'Sport sound' but after having my Taycan for a little over a month now I can't stand the thought of all the noise...
This is the same point I was trying to get to, albeit probably less directly. I don't see how the range projections could impact actual battery availability (percentage remaining) in normal driving situations. To my point earlier, if there's some interaction with the range minder and actual...
Here's a question from my lack of knowledge that I'd like to better understand:
Do trips like this affect the battery percentage presentation or only the range projection? If it's only the range projection, it's likely just an issue with their calculations and the way they present it and it's...
As I've always done, only put the tires on when you need them, and take them off otherwise. Don't run them needlessly. Yes, it's a pain in the butt to swap wheels out right before / after a storm hits, and swap them back out afterward, but you don't sacrifice performance using them...
I only charge to 80%. I don't have a need to charge any higher and don't go on long trips, so it doesn't make sense to push the limits of the battery and risk longevity.
Side note: Ceramic coat on a stealth/satin wrap is likely a waste of money. A satin wrap is a pain in the ass to clean. My ceramic coat doesn't seem to have made it any easier to clean, nor does it seem anymore hydrophobic than a non-coated car.
I think that's unique to the wrap I chose. I...
I'm happy to share to anyone in my area that has questions or concerns in a DM/PM.
I'm not in the market for throwing shade on the internet though, as the internet is forever :)
