Looks like you took a pic of my tires! I do agree that it is really hard to ride in Normal mode. The worst is having to use auto lift when parking at work everyday (a necessity to keep from smashing the lower bumper into the curb) and have the car sitting in the lot, looking like it is on...
Here is one more theory that explain the premature tire wear. With air suspension we have the ability to drive around in "stud" mode with the car sitting very low. Below is a pic that my wife took as I zipped by her on the highway.
Note the serious negative camber on the rear wheels...
I had the same issue. I first tried duct tape to fix it, no success. Then someone on this forum suggested WD-40 which has worked like a charm! If something on this car cannot be repaired with either duct tape or WD-40 my dealer said to give up, call a lawyer, and Lemon-Law the thing. Good advice.
I'd stay away from the 2020 models in general as they seem to have had the most issues. There are however some incredible deals on 2020 Turbos (especially if you like red leather interiors).
All great points. I'd also add that life is too short to worry about depreciation, it's going to happen, and I suspect that all of us are going to get whacked hard when next gen batteries arrive on the scene. PB+ won't mean Jackshit to anyone when compared to solid state/semi solid state...
This is a great thread, and now that I have discovered someone on the forum who has at least studied architecture, I will share my latest OCD garage remodel experience with the hope of finding some advice! For the last 90+ days, I have been googling the sh*t out of the internet looking for some...
You raise a very good point: the inability to communicate a simple hand gesture to fellow motorists through the "gun slot" that Porsche calls a rear window. Perhaps one day manufacturers such as Porsche and others will incorporate screens on the exterior of vehicles to enable us (through the...
Nothing is easy in Czechoslovakia; and nothing is easy with the Porsche Taycan. Pic at top is my car in the operating room waiting on the "plastic surgeons" to perform simple cosmetic surgery, i.e. replace the plastic baboon's ass bumper cover with the original design OEM bumper cover from...
Parts are in, but I have not seen as I had SunCoast ship them directly to my dealer. The shipment was almost on time. As I mentioned I want to be present during install (not only to take pics but also because I don't want to get stuck in a macan). Now that the kids are out of school for...
I have personally never tried to use a Tesla-to-CCS adapter. There are however lots of options and reviews on YouTube (adapters are really a mixed bag of made-in-China tech from what I understand). You can however download the tesla app and you will see the screen below. Click "Charge Your...
Even easier is to download the Tesla app which will give you a list of superchargers where you can charge your non-Tesla EV sans adapter. (I never would have thought to download the Tesla app but had to when I bought a Tesla for an employee -- I was way too cheap to buy her a Taycan! -- and now...
I may be having a "Joe Biden" moment, but I have a MY 21 and swear that I could originally close the trunk from the center console with one touch of the button. I even complained to the dealer after the "big PCM update" that Porsche f'd up something during the update because my trunk button no...
You are correct. I just updated the myporsche app (10 seconds) and brought my iOS up to date (10 minutes) with 16.4.1. You also need to hop in the car and follow the instructions on the app, under "functions," to allow the PCM and iPhone to chit chat (30 seconds). Not much of a hassle at all...
First and foremost, ChatGPT (or "HAL" as I call him) is not (yet) sentient. HAL can't drive a Taycan, he can't feel the rush of adrenaline as he skillfully threads his way through a sea of Toyota Camrys and he can't begin to appreciate what it is like to commute inside a piece of modern art...
Those are f'ing cool. If you find out how to get this done, please post ASAP. As for the phi-phenomenon turn indicators, I'll go against the grain and take a pass. Nothing original/unique about them and IMHO they are just a little too gimmicky.
Good deal. I plan on being present at the dealer when the work is done (I can't bear to drive around in an ICE Macan loaner unless absolutely necessary) and will snap/post a lot of pics of the process for others to use as a reference.
Can't believe tech-forward Taycan guys are still using old school dishes and connected dishwashers. We switched to Soylent Green years ago, no more dishes, no more dishwashers, no more apps to control the dishwasher, and no worries about Russians hacking our dishwasher. (BTW, rumors that SG is...
