  1. Finger almost got crushed by the door handle

If what you said was real, my 3 kids and I would have no fingers left by now. I don’t remember how many times we’ve been crushed.
  2. TSB: Aftermarket tampering device causes odometer/speedometer malfunction

Seems like it's for mileage tampering so it won't roll forward.
  3. Is there a Porsche Server issue ongoing Feb 8 2023? Apple/Spotify/OnlineRadio not connecting

This thing is killing me. As much as I want to use the built in PCM Apple Music integration I have to resort to my CarPlay. I don’t even know how others ditching CarPlay can live with pcm only.
  4. Great quote re. 911 that is as applicable to Taycan

The quote is so extreme, “driving anything but a 911 will be boring and almost depressing”. Really?
  5. Adding a second user. Solved.

I don’t think it‘s possible. I have to let my wife use my account for her app.
  6. Homelink Always Pops Up on Start Now

Regardless the Tesla implementation is still miles better than how Porsche did it. Furthermore on the Porsche you actually have to hold it for a second to activate and a lot of times it doesn’t activate with a lighter touch.
  7. Sport Sound Owners - Do You Use It Most of the Time?

At least the backup camera is useable, accurate, and clear on the Tesla. Can’t say the same on the Taycan. It’s actually pretty difficult to park using its backup camera.
  8. At least our steering wheels stay on

I did not “use” it. The car shifted into Park itself while I am in Drive.
  9. At least our steering wheels stay on

Likewise at least my teslas never spontaneously went to Park from Drive like my GTS does occasionally at stoplight or stop sign or middle of a 3-point uturn.
  10. Remove Before Race Specs a Taycan

Those cars have already been sold…? It’s not like the dealerships have a fleet of demo Taycans.
  11. 38 at Electrify America for $0? I thought it was 30 minutes free?

EA chargers (individual charger, not the entire station) sometimes offer complimentary sessions. Someitmes you will see this show up on the charging screen, other times you know it’s free when you didn’t get any “authorization complicated” notification on your phone, or never got a reminder that...
  12. Porsche electric sport sound YES/NO?

Has anyone done any meaningful test on sports sound being on vs off? For example, standing on sidewalk with another driver driving the car slow and fast on the road, which is approx 10-20 feet away. Is the car actually noticeably louder as it passes by? If so, by how much (with a db meter?).
  13. Any way to replace the lens in the terrible reverse backup camera?

Seriously, what were they thinking when they designed it? Can't they see that the camera is unusable in fisheye mode when they reversed the car? Everything 10 feet away looked like 10 inches away. Or, the Germans are so good at driving that they actually don't look at the camera view?
  14. Porsche Dashcam Installed - Review and Overview for US Taycan Owners

I don’t think it’s the location, but the camera itself that sucks. At least that’s the impression I get from reading this thread. My blackvue has been working great.
  15. GTS Interior vs Vented Seats

It’s your car. Get what you need and want, not what others tell you. You will always find a group of people who prefer the race Tex and the other group not. There are people who absolutely need ventilated seats and that’s what their purchases are based on.
  16. Innodrive worth it?

Innodrive is far worse than Tesla basic autopilot. They both have one thing in common, which is trying to kill me.
  17. Compensation for delays?

Good luck. Let us know the result! My guess is that your dealer and PCNA will tell you to pound sand. I don’t know who isn’t impacted by delays nowadays for a new custom ordered car, be it Porsche or other carmakers.
  18. Taycan Turbo for Wife

Your wives don't have issue having to lift the car (and/or driving at angles) everywhere and wherever they go?
  19. Homelink Always Pops Up on Start Now

Only if you have a single garage door saved. If you have multiple doors, even at different locations, pressing the homelink button only brings up a pop up of which door to operate, irregardless of location. Stupid design.
  20. Rear Axle Steering....not needed, nice to have, or must have?

Never came to realize it's RAS that's causing my parallel parking issue with this car. I always thought it was that I am overly cautious about curbing the wheels and the shape of the rear quarter screwing with my perspective. Now I know why.
