You likely don't have the 400V/150kW option. In 2021 everyone was advising against it as useless in the US. As said, without it your 800V car is limited to 50kW on the 400V Tesla V3 stations. It is possible that in the next few years more of the V4 stations will convert to the higher voltage...
I'd order it from a dealer. They have regular part shipments from Atlanta and might get some priority over end user orders online. I ordered it on Friday (announcement day) and my dealer had it the following Wednesday.
In talking about Magic Dock, just a note that the Porsche/Lectron adapter seems to have better dimensions and tolerances than the Tesla Magic Dock one. I’ve had trouble getting the MD to click into the CCS port, but the adapter works perfectly.
The detail is nice for planning long trips on the desktop/laptop. What does the app version offer though beyond what you get by scrolling in the Tesla app to where you want to go, with your car set to “Taycan with NACS Adapter” and clicking the three lightning bolts for SC? The Tesla app already...
For the J1.1 it doesn't match. It's white. We had an explanation a while back: while Tesla engineers were working on making the PCM color match the car, Porsche engineers were perfecting blended braking. ;)
Has anyone ordered the Porsche adapter? My dealer checked and said Atlanta has them and he’d give me a call this week when it comes in. But I’ll believe it when I see it.
So now I got the WRW1 OTA. Here's the sequence.
Got the update available notice and tapped it.
Tapped "Install Now" - got the three minute "Starting Installation" message. Stayed in the car.
This flipped to a "Loading account" "Cancel seat settings" option (huh?)
Then back to the...
So I finally got the ARB7 OTA update notice on the PCM display. This appears after driving and then parking and turning off the vehicle, but not opening the door. You can leave and lock the vehicle and walk away if you are not ready to install. If you do proceed, the instructions are confusing...
For me, superchargers will be a backup plan in areas without other brands. Yes for V3 the cables are short and unless you have the 400V/150W option, charge rates are 50kW. Some sites have an end unit that the Taycan can use without blocking spaces. The Tesla V4 cable is significantly longer than...
The cabin air filter you can do yourself, search here or elsewhere for part numbers and procedure. Not doing the air filter will not void your warranty.
I believe on your year the body drains have a recall where you remove the plugs and push out the one-way membranes, then re-install the plugs...
