My 4S went into my local OPC (Sheffield) 10 days ago - just been told the new heating part has arrived and should be ready by Fri. So I guess I’m lucky in only driving the Merc diesel taxi hire car (1st world problem I know) for 2 weeks. Just hope that no subsequent problems arise …..
My wife...
I notified my local OPC about the heater issue and they advised me strongly to go via Porsche Assist to get it resolved. I phone PA, who were helpful (clearly not connected with Porsche !!), and within 5 mins got a call from Enterprise about the hire car they will give me. To my surprise, they...
I couldn't agree more - Porsche are like the Ryanair of car showrooms. I'm surprised that we don't get charged £20 to use the WC at one of their centre's.
And whilst we are raising issues with them, which corporate "bright spark" decided to put most/all of the charges behind the barriers so that...
It was a whole mixture of different speed limited highways (but also including a bit of unrestricted in Germany). It was this morning after charging overnight that the battery said 422km.
I did also put a post on last week about driving through the UK to get to the Channel Tunnel - started with...
I drove 750km yesterday across Austria & Switz before getting to our hotel near Mont Blanc. I then charged up overnight and got 422km (263 miles) - I haven’t had the update done yet as it’s booked for early Sept when I get back to the UK.
I haven’t had the big update yet, but massively surprised at my trip today.
Fully charged to 249 miles when I left home - drove 212 miles. Range left at destination - 76 miles. So total range of 288 miles !!!
95% of the trip was on motorways with range set (but at 90) and recoup on, but even so :-)
Surely if they listened properly we wouldn’t be having this thread ??? I’m always tempted to ask them to pay me to be test driving the car as in effect we are acting as Guinea pigs for them whilst they try and sort everything out.
Still a great car to drive though and wouldn’t swap it.
Don’t know whether trying another centre- I was at the Sheffield one today and have booked my update in for 31 Aug, but without a car. With a car it was early Oct.
Taking my 4S in on Mon for the update - the threads suggest it’s a material improvement.
I’m then doing a 2,500 mile road trip through France, Germany, Austria & Switzerland - just hope I don’t regret getting it done before rather than after the holiday …….
I’m doing a trip from Calais (after leaving home in the UK) through France to Basel. Then onto the Black Forest before heading over to Salzburg and from there back via Chamonix to Calais.
Does anyone have any hints/tips - my current plan is charging overnight at hotels where I can, but otherwise...
Rather than bend their ears why not take one of your guns with you in Peaky Blinder's fashion ……… your spare key will be there quicker than your turbo :-)
Don’t understand why you would be getting 10% less charge than me - at 100% mines always been above 250 miles. But then again I live in Costa del Derbyshire so a more temperate climate than you :-)
I’m assuming no updates yet from your dealer on the spare key, WC etc etc
