God guess. I debug human systems, not electronic ones, but that word ‘surely’ is often sitting on top of something worth looking at.
I really hope Porsche monitors your musings.
Google says he made a joke: Looking for an adventure? Buy a Taycan!
I for one appreciate a little European flavor to go with a European car. But then I’m watching Un Village Fraincais to get me through the quarantine.
Also, the first time a battery fails isn’t interesting. Second time with so few vehicles is a little more so.
Kinda like the big garage fire. If there’s been a second one that would have been real news.
Since we’re sharing stories, 8 years of hybrids and electrics here with zero 12v failures.
I think his car is still a little peeved about the whole ‘once around the continent’ thing.
I think the biggest problem is the inclusion of a variety of types of chargers. My Tesla route planning isn’t more sophisticated but it only shows Tesla proprietary chargers. About half the Tesla super chargers I try don’t work, but they are right next to chargers that do.
When Electrify...
I Think one thread is more than enough on the Taycan forum.
Yes, those stats are even possible. Tesla roadster; 0-60 under 2 seconds, 600+ range, top speed over 250.
And 58% of value after three years is pretty standard luxury car resale. Wish I’d be getting that much on my Tesla.
But if you think Porsche’s are over priced, stick to BMW. Had one. Loved it. Much more excited about this.
Yeah, I think those are the demos. A small number had to be ‘sold’ by the end of December and are now sold as ‘used.’ Most are there for test drives. I’ve only ever seen one at a time at my local dealer.
They have lots of 911s though.
Not aware of dealers having Taycans I stock for several months...maybe the one they got as a demo. Most of us are waiting for ours to be built.
COVID-19 makes it difficult for dealers to conduct business, so I doubt you’ll see deals designed to bring in customers...lest they get sick.
Once...
Just seems odd to worry about for a 100k+ car.
But my main push back is against the idea that ‘Porsche should’ do something odd because one of us wants it.
Right. Tesla is pretty much unique in having the year of your car set by when you bought it. Most car companies have models. They start a new model a bit before the new year. But I damn well want the first year model whenever I get it. Makes me feel special.
And as has been pointed out...
