Yeah I have ventilated seats on my current car, I’m just interested in whether there’s any truth to the claim that in the Taycan they are “tougher” with than without. I’d get them right off unless they indeed are harder, in which case I might want to skip it then.
There’s this tidbit floating about the inter webs that adding the ventilation option might make a particular seat type firmer than without. There’s no real information to any of that though, it’s always something akin to “I heard somewhere that the ventilated seats are tougher/firmer”.

Thanks, I found this quote in one of those threads to be helpful: https://www.taycanforum.com/forum/threads/is-the-new-19-2-kw-on-board-charger-worth-it.16735/page-2#post-257341
Basically it’s unlikely to be helpful for charging away from home, so really just for home use for faster charging...
I think for my needs at home I would probably not really need more than the 48A / 11 kW max rate of the standard charger. Is there any compelling reason to order the 19.2 kW charger? The SA recommended it but there wasn’t a reason given.
Are there really L2 destination chargers in CA and...
Yes I’m just now learning about EV charging while waiting for a Taycan allocation, and have watched lots of Tom’s reviews. Frankly, the new Tesla Universal charger is actually my front runner, though I don’t currently need the NACS connector, but with current developments, it sounds like a good...
Great, thanks for the information.
Editted: I found the link for standard features list on the configurator, near the top right, together with a link for technical data. Thanks for the tip.
The configurator is vague about the Sport Chrono in conjuntion with various steering wheel options. You get the GT wheel included in the Sport Chrono, but is it leather and heated? The various wheel options that are present seem to be for if you want RaceTex and/or Carbon Fiber. I'm pretty...
I think we really need to 3 owners to post pics of the boot floors, for base, Bose and Burmester (funny all start with “B”).
Salesman last week told me Burmester subwoofer ”raises the floor”, and agreed with me when I asked “you mean that area forward of the charger cubby under the floor?”...
Is this just a San Diego thing because StarGard is located there?
Anybody who found this on their car should be posting exactly which dealership did that to them. Except for the last few posts, where this is happening is not being made clear.
There’s different speaker counts between the 3 sounds systems I understand. Does that mean the door panels and other trim pieces around the Taycan interior differ between systems? I.e. if one ends up with base sound, then one is stuck with only the base speaker locations and wiring, correct?
Well the TotallyEV video review of the Burmeister was interesting, I learned something I didn’t know: there’s no multi-band equalizer, just a disappointing treble/base control.
