Help please... newbie to the Porsche world speccing a CT 4S

I have just collected my CT4S and it’s fabulous. In terms of your list, you’ve obviously been doing your homework ?. I optioned the rear wheel steering and it does seem to make low speed manoeuvres easier. I didn’t option the HUD as the cluster screen is so well designed. I went 14 way as I...

    Porsche Taycan CT 4S Newbie

Sublime to be honest. Grinning like a Cheshire Cat and looking for excuses to take it out lol. The way new cars should be but, better.

    Porsche Taycan CT 4S Newbie

Collected mine last week and had the same work carried out before official delivery. Porsche Belfast couldn’t have been more helpful and it’s definitely the way to go if you can. By the way, fab looking car. Health to enjoy. ?

    Tyre repair, tread limits

You’re having no luck. Hopefully that’s an end to it for a while.

    Tyre repair, tread limits

I think you’re in the red there Sean unfortunately and repairing it (if even possible) might be more hassle than it’s worth. Still sucks though.

A nice two up? You were lucky, all we had…………. (you started it ??)

    To boot (trunk) or not.

Fair point. I'm happy to work on my motorbikes but leave the cars to others. Strange (?) but true.

    To boot (trunk) or not.

That has been my experience as well. Even if I get I get up the hills, it's definitely being able to brake going down them that counts more. I'll let you know how I get on (or otherwise) with moving the 21".

    To boot (trunk) or not.

Only picked the car up last week and this is the first chance. Temperatures are pretty low here at the moment and we regularly get a bit of snow/ice well into March. I’d normally have them fitted from November/December (ish)

    To boot (trunk) or not.

I’d say that the majority don’t bother in the UK? I put winters on all my cars as a combination of cold temperatures and untreated roads mean getting up to my house can be a bit of drag more often than not.

    To boot (trunk) or not.

So, saloon or estate (sedan or station wagon ?)? One of the reasons for opting for the CT was the extra room which made it a more practical alternative to having a saloon + another vehicle for moving more bulky stuff. Well, I’ve just packed the winter wheels (20”) inside the car for fitting...

What charger have you installed at home?

I went for the tethered version and it's fine. The cable wraps around it easily and becomes pretty unobtrusive when not in use. I will be getting solar panels at some point in the future so the Zappi was chosen with this in mind and, at its price point, is a reasonable buy.

    UK order status and delays?

I picked mine up last week and the heater has been fine. Don't let the issue spoil your excitement - the car is outstanding!

    Porsche Taycan facelift spied

The ‘spies’ must have been bloody cold up in that forest waiting to get their shots. ?? Anyway, nothing beats seeing something in the flesh so I’ll reserve judgement on whether it’s an improvement until then.

    Potential 4S owner...

Seems steep. Ask Motorway to buy it for you and see what they say? ?‍♂️ I’m expecting 10% depreciation per annum but I’m not worrying about it and bought the car to enjoy.

Got an allocation! Please check my build :)

Hi Steve, Nice spec and great to hear yours is getting nearer to home. I specc’d my car for me but found the advice of others on here to be helpful and sometimes, a wee bit biased towards their own options unsurprisingly. Ultimately, I went for what I wanted. I have the panoramic roof which I...

    From Stuttgart to Belfast

Small world for sure. I was in Cullybackey today visiting a friend. Hopefully you can get the DoE to contribute. It wouldn’t surprise me to find they’re spending more on claims than filling the bloody things in. The roads really are a mess.

Many thanks. In Northern Ireland terms (as we are a wee small place), I’m a fair bit away from Dunmurry. To you guys I’m just around the corner. The old factory and test track is about 26 miles away lol. Not sure what is left to see there though. PS. At least now I understand the Dunmurry...
