you and I agree on Porsche's core problems - EV's are an existential threat to Porsche _IF_ they had to compete - they are choosing not to complete and focus on ICE vehicle's where they have the ability to defend their margins…there is a massive technical moat for any ICE vendor to encroach on...
I was a happy owner of a 2020 Taycan Turbo - I wanted a .2 Taycan - but in my opinion the Taycan pricing got out of control - so I pivoted to a Macan EV Turbo…
so far I'm very happy - I posting this on the Taycan forum purely for visibility for anyone considering a similar move…
these are my...
AWD drive Macan's wil be more to your liking

4S or GTS is the sweet spot - options make the difference much more than trim levels on the Macan EV … the 4 is lack luster, but only from a dead stop … in all other driving it's virtually...
Prosche can't complete (reduce pricing) on their EV's without undermining the current ICE Pricing trim/ladder…this the "core" in my opinion of how "their business model no longer works"…
$57.5k - Model Y AWD Performance - 3.3 sec 306 miles range
$61.5k - BMW iX3 Base - 4.7 sec 463 HP 400'ish...
not your fault
other guy's insurance is screwed
besides direct parts/labor/paint (and possible batteryO) repair value their "diminished value" claim (i.e. what the car will lose in value because carFax will show it was wrecked"
if there is battery damage that will total the car alone for...
no one can convince this was not a consequential car - it was far from perfect - but it charged things…the auto industry will never be the same - conversations about EV's will never be the same - and the legacy auto makes are still learning and recovering from the disruptions it caused…...
the JD power data is largely pointless - pointing to it repeatedly is simply being obstinate and refusing to recognize it's a simplistic metric and simplistic conclusions that obscure the complexity of what they are trying to measure.
sure it's better to have fewer problem - but it's way better...
JD powers counts "problems" not "impact" - their data is accurate, but hardly less useful that you've been lead to believe or most people believe.
the following statement stands on it's own and is neither pro/con - it's both…
there is ample data about what it is and isn't

Macan's a great EV - I own a 2024 Macan Turbo - and wrote up my impression of a 4 vs. Turbo while my Cayenne was being serviced…

the Macan EV is sooo much better than the ICE Macan - it's...
most people trashing Tesla's "quality" do so from a very weak position of no personal experience - but rather parroting "what they've heard" - My 2 Model S's were not 'porsche quality' but they were vastly better than "most cars" and reliability was stellar - much better than my Taycan...
I'm mostly unconcered - the battery does not "expire" or turn into a pumpkin the day after the warranty expires - it should work fine for many year post warranty period - if it breaks it's expensive no doubt, but in line with any major drive train component for a Porsche that is 8+ years...
I agree with most if not all of this video - if you consider yourself a car person this is worth a watch.
Having owned 2 Model's (P85 and P85D) and several other Tesla's - the rest of the industry is in many many ways still playing catch up…
Plug&Charge for Tesla Superchargers also works for the Macan
we can anticipate day 1 support for the Cayenne EV and 718 EV also - this is great
two north American P&C networks
EA and Tesla
