Thinking a bit more about it, there's the Hilton in Angel Islington (next to the Business Design Centre). It's right next to Upper Street car park, there are a few 360 photos of the inside, so you can gauge it for manoeuvring.
Also, a 2-min walk from the car park, there is a Premiere Inn, too.
Totally fair enough. You could look in Clerkenwell, it's only a short bus ride (55, 242, 243) or 2 tube stops to Holborn. The Zetter Hotel is nice, and there's a NPC a few mins walk away on Saffron Hill (EC1N 8XA).
Do you have to drive into central London? Is there no option to leave the car at home or a hotel further out and a tube / train in?
After living there for 14+ years, I can safely say London is a terrible place to drive! :)
Looks like a good build, but the interior is a bit dull at the moment.
I’d recommend at least adding the Aluminium Rhombus trim to break up the black (a $0 option). I’d also suggest the accents in dark silver (to get rid of the cheap plastic door handles) and the graphite blue seat belts. All...
Totally. I asked the dealer a month or so ago, but they haven't been able to confirm. I suspect they are waiting for the car to start rolling out the factories first. Seems like it's a bit of a grey area at the moment.
What's interesting / confusing is that when Porsche first announced the GTS, the configurator showed the headrest GTS logo, even on leather interiors.
I really hope it's a glitch, and they didn't get rid of it for leather interiors. It looked nicer than the Porsche logo, and would save £320 for...
I don't think it's about heat, more to do with comfort (imho).
If it's a nice sunny summer's day and I have my toddler in the back being blinded by the sun, it's nice to be able to block out the glare.
As to if it's worth the price of admission or not...that's a different matter!
In the other thread, I suggested it would cost around £4k, but I have since come up with a more likely figure by comparing the cost of the pano roof between German and UK configurators.
Pano roof: €1606.50 = £1137
Assuming Porsche uses the same conversion rate;
VLC Pano roof: €5045.60 = £3570
Spec looks great, but I agree with the above on a few (imho) needless options.
I wouldn't spec InnoDrive or Night View Assist. InnoDrive, by most accounts, is quite buggy and prone to sudden slowing down, and I just can't see the use case for Night View Assist other than a gimmick, and I live...
