If the real world numbers are anywhere close to what Porsche did on their trip from Niagara Falls to New York (https://newsroom.porsche.com/en/2019/products/porsche-taycan-niagara-falls-road-trip-new-york-city-18578.html), I would be really happy. I know that it is a Porsche PR article, so...
Looking at how EPA test the vehicles (https://fueleconomy.gov/feg/how_tested.shtml), I believe the methodology is not a good fit for Taycan on how Porsche basically requires the driver to use the brake to regen energy. For a vehicle that regen energy by lifting off the gas peddle, they are more...
I will be keeping my order. I'm not planning to do road trips with the Taycan since there aren't enough trunk space for my family of 4, so I'm not worried about the range issue. While it was disappointing to see the EPA range that low, but at the end of the day, my wife and I both preferred...
I like the metallic one because once the car gets older the metallic paint will generally keep the car looking shinier. So, unless you regularly wash and wax your car, to me having the metallic paint will keep the car looking nicer longer.
Mainly agree with you Vim. Getting the 2+1 rear seat option is mainly just getting the third seat-belt. Though, without the option, it is a storage cubby with a hard plastic holder, versus a cushioned raised seat. I did end up ordering with the 2+1 rear seat option, for once a year emergency...
In US, the bigger battery is mandatory for the 4S, if you want the place the order now. The smaller battery is only available after June 2020.
I agree that for daily use, the bigger battery isn't needed. But, I like to do one day trips that may push the mileage limits in the smaller battery...
Tye, thanks for the pictures :like:
Did you get a chance to take a close look at the rear foot well ventilation area to see if dirt and snow from shoes would cause problems with it? I have small kids and there's no way I can guarantee they keep their shoes clean.
Also, I plan to install...
About the only new info I got from the video is at 11:20 mark where he showed how Taycan automatically showed the front facing camera to let you know you are getting close to an object. This will be great when pulling into a parking spot and you are afraid of scrapping the car against some...
Nice build.
I agree with others that surround view will be valuable especially for tight spots.
For myself, I left out the Charging dock (wall box) to save a few dollars, since I'll be using it in the garage. Looking at the manuals for the different Porsche chargers...
It is the same now in the US for the 4S. Must get the bigger battery, panoramic roof, and mobile connector charger. To be fair, panoramic roof and the mobile connector charger were always required for the current batch of cars. The bigger battery requirement is new. Though, I can understand...
For those who have placed a build order, did you notice an option difference between what's reported in the car configurator tool and what your dealership build sheet states?
I'm in the US and the car configurator shows the panoramic roof as part of the "Premium package", but my dealer build...
Awesome people on this forum, do all Porsche vehicles come with under door lights that help you see before stepping out of the car?
I've been looking a review videos of different Porsche models and it isn't clear to me.
Ultimately, I'm trying to figure out if I need to opt-in for the "Porsche...
If you go with the standard 2 rear seat setup, the rear seats fold 60/40.
If you go with the 2+1 rear seat setup, then you get 40/20/40 fold down that the video showed.
