    Which Colors ?

My own decision making for going metallic white versus solid white came down to the following: How many years do I plan to keep the car? Do I plan to regularly keep the car waxed? For myself, I plan to keep the Taycan for many years, so I wanted a paint color that still looks "shiny" after...

Clear protection film (PPF) on the Taycan?

To me PPF is about protecting the paint from rock chips. Of the 20+ years of driving a car, it is super rare that my car got a rock chip or a scratch that I would have benefited from PPF. I had more car dings and accidents, which PPF doesn't protect from. I look at ceramic coating as helping...

So far, I'm thinking Yay for ceramic coating and Nay for PPF.

Taking One Lap of the Country in my Taycan Turbo - 10k miles in 6 weeks Cross-Country Journal

@louv when you get to BC, hit up the BC Hydro charging stations. They are free. You may need to download the "BC Hydro EV" app to initiate the charging. The down side is that I think they are only 50 kW stations

Do we need PTV - Porsche Torque Vectoring?

If you plan to take the car to the track, then I think PTV is valuable. As a DD, I personally will be saving the money.

Owner Discusses Taycan Range, Battery Longevity, Charging and Related Concerns

I'm personally planning to let the battery drop to around 30% before charging back up for day to day driving. If I have trips, then I'll top off regardless of current SoC.

Panoramic fixed glass roof v Aluminium roof

I'll be running the A/C if my head start to feel hot. Maybe it is just the adrenaline rushing to my head while I'm driving the Taycan ;)

Performance Options on 4S? PDCC, RWS, PTV Plus

I only added RWS for parking and U-turns, since this will be a DD car. We don't have a lot of high speed fun roads, so left out the other 2 options. I'm switching from a regular sedan over to a Porsche so even the default Porsche driving dynamics will already be much better than what I'm used to.

Vehicle Key in Leather in Leather Pouch

I didn't go for this. I figured that I'll have other keys in my pocket and will just end up scratching up the leather anyways, so might as well spend the money on other options.

    Dash cams

Agree with what other people said, dash cam is for vandalism and hit and run situations. Radar and laser detectors are for cops. Have a look at https://youtu.be/LPVp1DTDYu8 where the reviewer describes a number of custom install radar detectors. Here's a laser jammer specific review...

    Route Planning on Porsche website

I like A Better Route Planner. Does this route work (https://abetterrouteplanner.com/?plan_uuid=7a8e8167-7626-4cca-ae70-674f48674881)? While, it may be a bit of additional drive, but that's part of the fun in a Porsche, right ;)

    Golf clubs in the boot

My test car had Bose and the picture I took showed that the boot is flat. So if the Bose speaker took up room it is hidden in the boot floor. BTW, the little section right under the golf club head has a shallow storage area if you lift up the cover.
