“These are the old days man, the bad days, the all-or-nothing days. They're back! There's no choices left. And I'm ready for war.” 😂
In all seriousness, my Porsche sales contact said that they’re seriously ramping down Taycan production and hoping it will help with depreciation.
This is according to Porsche press releases and some of the old MY forum threads on here. I cba looking them up but feel free to do so 😉
Not quite sure why you’re so aggressive about this, but I do know I personally wouldn’t go for anything below an MY23 model and would personally maybe wait on...
If you're looking at cars that have taken a depreciation hit and not a J1.2, then the MY23 (and above), had a lot of cumulative changes to OTA, infotainment, range and software that the model years before it didn't have. The small tweaks through 20/21/22 all added up, imo. Plus you can get the...
A heavy foot on the motorway makes a massive difference too. Driving 80+ MPH will kill range, especially in winter when rain (and moving static water on the ground), also affects range a lot, as well as cross-winds.
I had a Turbo ST and it was a very rapid car. Real-life, at many states of charge, it was just absolutely blistering. I am sure the Plaid is faster on a boring straight road, but couple the pure speed/torque/power with the speed the car can carry due to excellent suspension setup, huge grippy...
The feedback from Porsche on Monday after a few hours with it was basically "keep trying the update" and that "it *might* update and then it *might* go away", but they couldn't fix it without potentially keeping it overnight/a few days! 🤦♂️ oh and "no Sir, we don't have any loan cars...
Having just stepped out of an MY23 (delivered December '22), I think you had a very early car with more problems than later models...but a lot of that is valid.
1. Never had any of these problems and mine was actually very reliable, quick and smooth. HOWEVER, last week a software update failed...
The Taycan is heading off into the misty morning tomorrow so I’m clearing out all the extra little things I’ve bought with it
All gone!
pickup only as I’ve honestly no idea how to post them! 😂

Bump. Slight price drop. A decent saving over new and not had them on the car a long time ago- they’d not even developed them for the Turbo until relatively recently. Saves those coolant rads in the front wings 😁
The first one is a pricing curve that points up, like the Nurburgring's Flugplatz. In contrast, the second one is an electrification strategy that assumes Porsche buyers desperately want an EV in every imaginable body style - even though their actual purchasing habits politely disagree.
This...
The loaners at my local (UK HQ), have variously been: Taycan RWD (heavily loaded), Macan GTS (heavily loaded), Macan S, Cayenne E-Hybrid (heavily loaded) and another Taycan RWD. That's from memory though
But you have to book for a loaner a *long* way in advance (2-3 months), so I have been...
I don’t have the car long enough now to try this. But it strikes me as a pretty silly design flaw. This is a Porsche and weirdly, the seating position should be ok being low. It’s just another niggle in what has added up to quite a long list in the car.
But the car remains a brilliant car...
