That might be because of the amperage. Those of us having overheating issues in North America typically have dedicated 50 Amp circuits feeding 40 Amps at 240 volts through the PMCC. That results in my power cable going from the NEMA 14-50 outlet into the PMCC getting uncomfortably hot...

When the cable that has the plug comes straight out the top of the PMCC the ground of that plug is on the top. However, you would have to install the outlet well above eye level in order to be able to easily have the screen on the PMCC be eye level this way (so that the cable has a place to go)...
