MY2020 TTS here. I still haven’t received an e-mail or see anything on the My Porsche website about an update or recall. I’m not having any issues (knock wood) so I guess I’ll just keep calm and carry on, as my friends over the pond say. Wonder if I’m missing anything.
My off-peak rates are definitely not worth it. If I’m on that plan it’s not the same normal price during peak times at my utility. While its cheaper overnight it’s much more expensive during the day than the regular non-off-peak rate plan. That would kill me in the summer with 4 big A/C...
I somewhat follow this. I have no real back up for saying this is beneficial but, in the warmer months, I just set the general profile on optimized for 80% (I have no time of use discounts) and plug in at night when I drop below 50%. In winter months, however, I turn off the profile and just use...
Thanks. Nothing on the VIN checker and still no email. I’ve been very happy other than a quirky PCM every now and then. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it, I guess.
Anyone with a MY2020 get this email or see it on their My Porsche website? MY2020 Turbo S here and nothing on the website and no email for me. I wonder if this is only affecting newer models?
Thanks for posting this. I just had the same issue and could not figure it out until I came upon your post. I was getting data no problem searching for music but when I tried to play a track it would just get stuck on “Loading Data”. Changing from my profile to Guest and back again fixed it.
No CarPlay on the passenger screen. If that is what you use for maps vs. the factory map/nav then that won’t work on passenger screen. Apple Music and playlists work on passenger screen but again not through CarPlay; only through the integrated Apple Music service in the Media app on the PCM...
It caps the high speed charging session to a maximum rate of 200kW, even in situations where you have optimal conditions and could get closer to the theoretical maximum of 270kW. See the following video staring at the 3:25 mark for more info on this.
I generally agree but I do feel like the throttle response on my Turbo S is much quicker and more sensitive in Sport Plus vs. Sport. I think that’s what people mean when they say “power”. Max HP I’m sure is the same with or without Sports Chrono but there may be a greater amount of instant...
Thanks for the explanation. I live in Bergen County, NJ in a densely populated area with high levels of disposable income and I have literally only seen a handful here (unlike Teslas, which are the new Starbucks with one on every corner), so I figured it had something to do with tax incentives...
FYI there was an update overnight to the Connect app and the release notes say that this will be the last update to the Connect app and to download the new My Porsche app. I am not sure what was changed in the Connect update other than a splash screen now that says to download the new app. See...
Make sure the brake is really as far down as it will go. I will typically engage the hold function with my right foot on the brake as normal and then while the hold is on switch to my left foot on the brake but you need to push further down. Then make sure you depresses the throttle down...
There are a number of pre-conditions that need to be met. See this post:

No, Sport mode is sufficient. It can be Sport or Sport Plus.
At least it’s not a hard no. I suspect they are trying to figure out the best way to implement and don’t want to announce that it’s coming to existing vehicles and over promise on timing etc.
+1. I keep one of these in my center console storage compartment and it works really well at quickly removing dust and fingerprints. I like the glass look and didn’t want the matte finish most of the screen protectors provide.
I believe the answer is speed. If I engage SmartLift manually in a place that I do not have a saved location it will stay in the lift position so long as I am driving pretty slowly (like through the parking lot where I selected SmartLift to go over a speed bump even if it is a large parking lot...
