Launch Control

I just got a new 2022 Taycan 4s and I am having a hard time getting it into launch mode. I put it in Sport, then depress the brake all the way while at the same time depressing the accelerator, but I do not get the indicator that states, "Launch Control Acitivated." In fact, I was only able to get that one time, but I can't seem to do that again. Anyone else having a problem with this? Any thoughts on how to correct this?

what does the manual say ?

Car needs to be at “operating temperature” and “sufficiently charged” for it to engage.
What those two variables are, I have no idea.

I have tried it in Sports Plus mode just to be on the safe side, with the same results.

No, Sport mode is sufficient. It can be Sport or Sport Plus.

Yeah. I read all those conditions in the manual. Pretty standard stuff. I will keep trying. I got it to work once, so I think I can get it to work again.

It’s vitally important that you are under 25 and wear your baseball cap backwards or it won’t work….

Make sure the brake is really as far down as it will go. I will typically engage the hold function with my right foot on the brake as normal and then while the hold is on switch to my left foot on the brake but you need to push further down. Then make sure you depresses the throttle down somewhat quickly rather than slowly (and thankfully it only works when the wheels are straight). Good luck.

I have done some testing here in Norway, and i think the battery has to be from 11-13 degrees celsius or above

This is accurate - battery temp matters, and ambient doesn't seem to.

It was 19F this morning but I still had launch control available with a 60F battery. The other day with a 40F battery and 32F ambeint I had no launch control.
