Great timing on this thread because I have this same question right now.
Second problem is, there's no independent shops near me (Atlanta) that I could find that work on Taycans making getting an extended warranty worth it if you're getting all your repairs at the dealership.
Fortunately when I initially bought the Taycan, I had a sub panel installed in the garage. I have one EVSE a foot and half away on one side and can add the second to the other side so hopefully install costs should be at a minimum. I’m leaning towards the wallbox though because I have kids about...
Thanks all! Atleast that helped take out the stand alone load shed management device. Will see if my electric company has any discounts on the Wallbox or Enphase. I doubt they have it on the Tesla but I'll check anyways!
I need a solution for charging two EVs at home. I currently have a Chargepoint EVSE hooked up at 60a to a subpanel in my garage. I had upgraded my panels and had a subpanel installed when I bought my Taycan with the thought that EVs were the future and wanted to future-proof as much as possible...
I know the guys that do it for Hennessey. They're definitely some of the best in ATL and are the goto for most locals so that should ease your mind some in regards to quality. As for price, that's up to you. For reference, those guys did my Taycan, Ftype R, and X5M.
In this boat too. Almost time to replace my A/S 20" tires and having trouble finding any in stock anywhere. The Pirelli Cents lasted me 20k miles!

Not the same at all but understand how your wife feels. My wife used to have a Cayenne GTS. The plastic connector that connects the cable to the ECU got brittle and broke while she was driving with 3 kids in the back under 2. Car went completely dead. No brakes, no power steering, nothing. She...
I don't know why I never thought of this! I've really hated my rims since I got the car but haven't found suitable replacements. Powdercoating them a new color might make me happy in the short term! Need new tires soon anyways so might as well!
Good comparison and glad you're liking the BMW! I love my Taycan but the wife drives a X5M and every now and then I love ripping it through the gears!
In reading your review, it made me appreciate my Taycan even more. You mentioned the ride and comfort are better in the BMW but you had the base...
Ugh. First day to hit 90 yesterday and my holder expanded and is now useless. Was using pla. Thinking of trying petg filament for the heat resistance.
It was perfect while it lasted (~5 months)! I increased the size by 6% so I could add some felt to the bottom to protect the leather.
Absolutely love my GTS ST. Unfortunately we were spending a day last week in East TN with the kids going to various caves and such and there's no charging around. Tail of the Dragon was right there! But instead we took our X5M for the day so we wouldn't have to drive 45min out of the way through...
Just found these.
For $100, think it’s worth a try!

This is driving me crazy but does anyone else with a ST or a CT notice the rear of the car gets dirty really really quick compared to the rest? I'm starting to think maybe the car needs some mudflaps!
I didn't want anything, just my car. Car was parked outside, SA came with me to show me a couple things like helping me log in and all that. Handed me the keys and I was gone in less than 5 minutes. Just two keys and a folder with some paperwork.
