Interesting with the 0-60 focus. Have been driving high perf. Bikes for the last 30 years (ouch) my main 2018 model has 220+ crank HP, while my 97 model old lady has something like 130. The latter is good for sub 3 seconds, and I can actually do it. The main I cant get below mid 3s if my life...
When we test drove the SA actually tipped us off that there would be a price increase next week. Placed the order promptly and the price did go up. Our contract price was honoured with no increase
Was lucky and got Burmester before it was cancelled last year, and quite satisfied with it. Have B & W in my X5 - price a little less but also not as good. Had a Q7 with B&O before and that is the best OE car system Ive ever heard, but then it also cost 9.5K 6 years ago. Never heard Meridian...
Yes I do but manually. Problem is when I want to use one not already in the Porsche map as its just registered as a stop, not a charger. Dont know if its a work around for that. Find it weird also that preheating cannot be initiated manually
Just going to jump in on this thread, also just 1 month in on our CT 4S, and also have an X5 45e so similar basis for comparison: Agree with all of OP's thoughts with items relevant for our build:
Quick summary of main config:
20' aero with studded Michelins
RAS
Sport Chrono
18 Way with...
Had it specced as the Porsche sales guy claimed it was designed with heat tracing. No idea if that is true but another owner I talked with claimed it froze all the time so I chose to go with the standard
Ofcourse, that was kind of the point I tried to make. No VAT, no "vehicle tax", free parking, free toll roads, allowed to use the bus lanes when others stuck in traffic. At least thats how it has been. Parking isnt free anymore, neither are toll roads, from next year there will be 25%VAT on cost...
If you. Come to Norway as planned, it will be quite different. More than 70% of new car sales now are BEV, and the plan is to phase out ICE sales by 2025. Reason for the relative success implementing BEVs is our insane taxation of ICEs, we typ. Pay twice compared to the US, but not for EVs - its...
With 6 months a year with snow and ice, its just no option for us. 2 sets of wheels it is. Its lile F1eng say, its those extra 2 meters (or 10) thats the difference between life and death. I havent experienced one winter over the last 30 years where at least once theres been a close call where...
I think you just have to decide for yourself. I was in the same boat as you, on a budget. Specced a fairly loaded CT4, but realised that for that ammount I could get a "nicely" specced 4S. Just had to consider my personal "must have's" and shave off some of the "cool to have" based on my...
For classical - at least complex - totally agree. You need the space, separation and low noise floor at least, or its just "mush". For other types of music it works - at least for me. For long solo drives on tedious highways, being able to enjoy music is a big plus in my book. Keyword is...
Have a 4S CT in order with the Burmester. From the varying replies I fear this will only add to the confusion, but at least this is my take: Im also into high-end HiFi, and as others have mentioned, a car cabin can never give the experience a proper listening room can. A 5K home system in a...

Just ordered a CT 4S. First time Porsche for me as well as EV, had great experience with similar forums previously learning about the cars from experienced owners, hope the same will apply here. After years in family SUV's I actually had...
