My take on Night View Assist

Autonomous driving and a Porsche are mutually exclusive things, the handling is just too good to let some AI drive it :D

My take on Night View Assist

The camera itself looks very clean on the body, nothing hideous or looking out of place. I wish it was higher as well, but there's just no other panel to stick it to.

My take on Night View Assist

The farthest I could see was a group of people 300m ahead (Measured on google using local terrain features), it is a very impressive device.

My take on Night View Assist

It is indeed redundant in the city, but a good backup nevertheless. Highway trips are a lot easier, not all of them are lit at all times (for energy saving purposes, in Europe as well). 1) I think the resolution just isn't there, will be the equivalent of looking into a cheap android tablet...

My take on Night View Assist

That is so German, to plan for every possible situation :CWL: No worries, we can't freely carry weapons here :)

My take on Night View Assist

This is my short review of the Night View Assist option and whether you should spec one for your vehicle as well. My current place of residence is in Kyiv, Ukraine. Considering recent developments, our electrical infrastructure has been severely damaged and as a result - street lighting is only...

Installing Mission E Wheels on base Taycan

No matter how hard I try I can’t see the damn thing from inside the vehicle! Do I need to go faster than 160kmh/100mph? I know it pops up at 89kmh but very slightly.

Is it my imagination? + Heater Update

Hm not sure about loudness, but my god I love that sport sound, the downshift, the humbling, can’t even drive without it.

    Negative Attention

Since my home charger outputs about 5kw, it is an issue because we only get about 4-5 hours of power a day, sometimes more, sometimes less. I also have a 22kw diesel power generator (oh the irony) but I’m hesitant to charge the Taycan from it. So what I usually do is leave it at the mall...

Take ‘23 order or wait for MY24?

The way I see it is that you can always wait for a newer one, it’s a never ending loop. First it’s start of production - eh I’ll wait till they polish it. Then it’s a polished version - eh I’ll wait for a refresh/facelift, so on and so on. If you want it now - get it now. It is an impeccable...

Questions about my final CT 4S Spec

My take on it - great spec. I’d strongly suggest 18-way seats and a passenger screen, it looks like the cockpit is missing something without it, and that empty panel is such a dust catcher. (I hated seeing all the scratches on it in the test drive vehicle). Sport sound - I love it! Sounds like...

    Negative Attention

For me it’s always been positive feedback, especially pedestrians showing a “thumbs up”. Biggest show off here are PCCBs, those giant disks are a landmark on their own :D

The Base Taycan is a gem... drove it and was blown away

Not really, I enjoy occasional track days with my fellow Porsche companions

The Base Taycan is a gem... drove it and was blown away

Pardon my ignorance then :D I’m often on high speed roads and braking is a big deal for me. Carbon Ceramics (at least what I felt) don’t fade as quickly as cast iron brakes do, they maintain their performance and consistency for much longer after a few hard braking events, not to mention the...

The Base Taycan is a gem... drove it and was blown away

Not barely, as it turns out, especially at higher speeds. Braking hard from 200kmh is quite an event for regular steel brakes.

The Base Taycan is a gem... drove it and was blown away

Quite a piece you’ve written there! Great read. I’ve driven the 4S on my first ever test drive of the Taycan before actually getting one. What you say is true, the nimble Base (4S in my case)Taycan handles just as good as all the other models up the line and for the price - it is indeed a steal...

    Your lucky mileage numbers

    Your lucky mileage numbers

My biggest one so far was 400 000kms on a Skoda Octavia. Can’t tell for sure how many kms new cars come with, mine’s a CPO that had 6041km on the clock already (it was a steal!), but from what I’ve heard it’s about 15-16kms when new. Cheers

    Your lucky mileage numbers

Hi there! Just caught mine today at exactly 7777kms on the clock. I’ve been doing these “lucky number catch” photos since my very first car, there’s just something about it :) Do you do it as well? If so - share yours!

    Smell when recirculating air?

Can’t say it’s a burning smell when I enable it but it definitely gives off a plasticky smell. I do not have the ionizer though.
