That 210 miles of range is just a little below normal for me in the cold of winter. Depending on what kind of cold you are dealing with in the UK, which i imagine to be much more than me in the southern US. I usually get about 220 or so when temps get around the freezing mark here. In the...
Ummm…no it doesnt handle like A big heavy sedan. I had a big heavy sedan before this car, a Hellcat. This car Handles FAR from that in all the best ways. If weight is part of the definition of a sports car, no EV ever will likely meet that requirement (for a long time anyway, until the tech can...
You can do this. Preheat the car and battery while fully charged and plugged in, before a long trip in the cold and it will save you range. Assuming you can do this on both ends, you will get some of that range back. But if you have to start cold, and depending on how cold, it can take a pretty...
It goes with the car right now unfortunately. You are an ambassador for both. I tend to keep info on hand to give them so i dont waste my time having to educate every single one of them that feels the need to tell me why they think they are so smart and did about 2 seconds of looking on social...
I love the tech on the Lucid and depending on interior choices, it can be quite nice. An acquaintance in town has one of two in the area and i got to check it out. It was very nice inside for sure, but that exterior…Ugly AF. It looks like something an old grandpa would be driving back in the...
Mine goes back and forth. Took it to the dealer and they couldn’t find anything wrong bc of course it worked for them. It‘ll do it randomly, fully charged or not.
Oh and I did mean to point out too, speed kills in EVs as well as temperature On long trips. Once you go over 70, it takes much more energy to go at those speeds (in any type of car) and you are going to lose range very quickly. I usually do 75-80 (occasional jumps into 90 as needed) and I keep...
I’m sorry to hear that you had a bad trip there. EA and the car’s Nav failed you on this and I’d be angry too. I’ve gone on several road trips, more than twice as long and I haven’t had those issues. I dont use the built in Nav bc I’ve heard several say it sucks, so i use PlugShare to route me...
In season 4 episode 1, our Taycan has made an appearance and the inner kid/geek in me is excited to see the car on the show. Bruce Wayne gives it to Nitewing…maybe it’ll be used as a new eco-friendly Batmobile?!?!?
Closing in on 2 years ownership and still on my first set of tires with 30k miles on them (Pilot Sport 4) and very close to replacing them. Charge mostly at home about 2 or 3 times a week at .10 per kwh rate where I live. Did the 20k mile maintenance is the only fee I’ve had to pay and that...
See, I hate that kind of thinking, where just bc you paid a lot of money for something, that you have no right to complain or seek recompense when some part of it doesnt work. If I buy a new $500,000 home and the $10,000 AC unit doesnt work or only works half as good as it should, I’ve got no...
Had been hoping for a fix, but considering this route for some time. Went ahead and did it today and I’m fairly happier with it disabled for my daily driving. Several functions that i need the phone to do work just fine over Bluetooth and the UI in the car. I’ll plug the phone in for CarPlay on...
ACTUALLY, there is a setting in the car that will limit your charge speed at DC fast chargers to about 200kw to preserve the longer life of the battery. If you want to see those top speeds, you will have to disable that setting. I dont know it off the top of my head, but that info is in the...
Thats what i used to run mine at with no problem. I did have the overheating issue at 40 amps and after researching, i reduced the power to 32 and it was all fine. I just bought another charger and back up to 40 amps and i had forgotten how much it does make a bit of difference in the charge time.
