What method do the police in England use to "clock" a drivers speed? In the states it's various types of methods but mostly Ka radar band which is easily picked up by radar detectors. And, how are radar detectors viewed over there?
Where I live in northern Colorado, there are very few Taycans (maybe 2-3) and the only other CT is a base spec with no personality. Every time I go out I catch people taking pictures, pointing, commenting.
Well your taste is impeccable, your car looks exactly like mine ?.
A good friend of mine is a tesla fanboy with a plaid and I am hoping to do a direct comparison soon, so I'll look forward to your comparison. Although, I believe the only thing they will have in common is the price tag. Two...
Good to hear another perspective from another speed freak.
I've been pulled over numerous times in various central American countries and its a bribe 100% of the time. A little sketchy at first but when you come to expect it, it can be a quite comical exchange, negotiating the bribe usually...
I lost my license 3 times when I was younger due to points accumulated. Can't say I've slowed down much, just smarter(ish) now. Also helps to have a radar detector, it has saved me more times than I can count.
Not to get repetitive, but here I go...
A heavy toll would eliminate the majority of people that don't belong. Plus, pay for upgrades, PSA's, etc...
I'm probably being niave but at least show me why it can't work.
You're probably right but I would like to think that one of those poor, barren states like Kansas or Nebraska could turn parts of I70 or I80 into a toll and charge a large sum to speed freaks like me and make it work...
Wishful thinking.
I found that starting a video before the run starts, then just recording the run is much easier than trying to fiddle through phone prompts. Then I took a screenshot of the top end. The video is pretty good too, just easier to post a pic.
I've always thought the US should build an Autobahn type highway (or convert an existing one) and make it a toll. I think people would come from all over and pay whatever the toll was to drive on it.
Finally got a chance to go all out. The 154mph is expected but getting there was the unknown. The car pulled hard right up to 150 then the computer kicked in and regulated the acceleration slowly to 154. So solid, smooth and eerie (hearing the wind instead of a turbo V8). It would have been nice...
My taycan has RAS and while I have not driven a taycan without my comparison comes from a Pan Turbo that had PDCC. Biggest difference I see is when backing into parking spots. In the beginning I would almost always over steer and end up crooked in the spot. I have also noticed that when doing...
Welcome to the forum.
That's what I love a about Porsche, so many different configurations to make the car all your own. We have the same car, yet it is completely different, for different reasons and both are perfect.
Good luck with your Sept date but if it's not, it'll be worth the wait.
Seriously...
I'm about once a week, with many wipe downs in between. We currently have an infestation of months here in Colorado with hundreds of months overnighting in my garage every night. So the car has moth piss on it every morning ?♂️.
