Am in the same boat. Just spoke to Porsche about exactly this retrofit. No updated timeframe yet. Hopefully by the end of the year, is the official line…..but they apparently don’t get much of a heads up themselves.

You misunderstand. There was no mention of “3D” on any of the options on the original MY20 configurator. This is in spite of the option being available on the car, being demoed with the car on test-drives, being present on cars delivered which specced the highest available 360 Surround View...

Just to clarify, don’t keep either of them permanently in the car. That would defeat the point of them entirely. Take them out, and always bring one with you along with the car keys, when you are driving. (Preferably not connected to the car keys for the reasons stated above).
