go for it. it's yours. if it'll make you happy and get attention for your business (one reason to drive this with your business name on it) - then do it
although the truck is "worth" $24k now - that's on paper. to you it's worth not much with the headaches and uncertainty. Make it reliable...
i was promised a Porsche Pen for financing with Porsche. Never got it. I got a Black and a Brown leather keychain with Porsche crest on them - not sure if everyone does or that's my treat. Yay.
would have loved a hat or pullover or travel mug
once bought an H2 Hummer - i paid extra for the...
Glad to hear someone else feels the same way i do. I did see in another post, someone referred to the EQS (sedan) as "FUGLY" which i also second. I literally lost my breath when i saw people typing that they thought it was great looking. Never felt to gaslit in my life. It's simple. It's...
i've tried. and tried
they can't find anythign wrong
unless we go through a several inch deep puddle near their lot, and then it happens. each time. in every taycan they've tried it in
they don't know what to do - waiting on Porsche N.A.
you're wrong. the same thing i experience MAINLY at low speeds going through water and turning sharply, or at a car wash, i also DO experience at higher speeds in heavy rains or jsut after heavy rains when the roads have standing water - as do other people
regardless - is it ok for a $10,000...
now imagine that - but instead of 2mph (3.2 kph) you're going 35-45 mph on a semi busy road with periodic stoplights and all of the sudden - no brakes when you go to slow down
in my analytical mind, there's a sensor somewhere, sensing something. Porsche tech seemed to think it was one of the ones in the wheel well, and for some reason, when it gets wet/blinded/obstructed/etc, it seems to tell the regen brakes NTO TO WORK and it doesn't trigger the mechanical brakes...
i set this when i got it 13 months ago but it NEVER did anything - and it started doing it like 3-4 months ago (nothing changed). THEN it stopped a few weeks ago. i'm guessing they keep messing with it in the OTA updates (??)
i have surround view which i love, but i like to be 2" from a curb...
I don't live horribly close to a dealer - that said - they can't do anything until Porsche releases a fix. I'm a former programmer - THIS IS PROGRAMMING, IT IS ELECTRONIC. i'm 99.458% sure. something in the programming is telling the regen NOT TO WORK and it's NOT telling the mechanical...
I think you're mostly right- but I think whatever is switching between
Normal braking- regen at first then mechanical if enough force is applied
And
only use mechanical braking
Isn't fully "flipping the switch"
When you first start a Taycan- the first few brakes are 100% mechanical, and...
Porsche N.A. is working on this issue, testing it at their Atlanta facility on their wet track (water pad, whatever it's called). I've sent detailed notes, some videos, etc. Other people have reported it across the country (world?) at various Porsche dealers, so it's on their radar and...
Yeah - i get this too. with my hand or hands on the wheel - but not a firm grip. I guess i lightly hold the wheel on highways. normally itl'll flash - i'll squeeze it, it'll go a way. then appear 10 minutes later...
mind you - this is only in reference to driving long trips with LKA on...
**UPDATE AFTER GOING TO PORSCHE SERVICE**
SO - update - went to the dealer earlier this week. Was predicted to POUR all day. They wanted to ride with me and see what they could observe when the brake issue reared up
while i was waiting for the right person to ride along with me - it was...
follow-up question... I'm one of those people who the touch with fingertip/hold to lock DOES NOT work 100% of the time (except with the New, Improved, back-of-finger method)
but my car does NOT always unlock when i walk up to it 100% of the time
how about everyone else -
if your car does...
last time i was at the dealer - i asked why they didn't tell people who bought them about locking them this way (after reading it on the forum) and he said because it works so infrequently they don't want to tell people it's supposed to work and then have it not work.
glad some of you have it...
According to the internets and this forum - seems like everyone is having issues with something these Taycans are SUPPOSED to do easily - lock the doors after you get out without the keyfob...
Story (from Porsche) goes - if you get out of your car - and touch the handle (with the keyfob on your...
so - six bucks, 2 longer screws, and two 1.5" PVC couplers later - my PMCC fits my PMC+ charging doc and looks GREAT
i went through the entire process here in a post

but here are...
