thanks to @porscheguy in the other post who helped me see my stupidity...
I had a PMCC cable and got a PMC+ charging dock - not realizing they were different sizes. The Porsche Mobile Charger Connect (PMCC) that came with my Taycan is smaller than the Porsche Mobile Charger + (PMC+) - the...
did your SA ever come up with reasons your Car was sold "without brakes"? That made me chuckle - but for anyone who's experienced the issue - THAT'S WHAT IT'S LIKE. It's like they removed the Taycan brakes and installed a POWER WHEELS CAR'S BRAKES
I wonder if we can 'downgrade' our brakes...
so an update - Porsche had my car about a week. It rained steadily several days they had it - on top of them testing it thoroughly around the dealership, they had two different advisors/technicians drive it home to see if they could reproduce the issue (i'd let sixteen people drive it home if...
I love the car - but i forgot to get the option BRAKES THAT WORK IN ALL WEATHER. Kind of hard to enjoy a car that you're worried about stopping in wet weather with the PSCB - the Porsche Can't Stop Brakes (I'm dyslexic - don't make fun).
I'm also annoyed by the infotainment issues everyone is...
Thanks. I've got a feeling not with the Porsche tax on ANY of the replacement options. Especially since this functions
i bet there's a way to add some sort of spacer on the clips holding the charger to the dock - have them project out 1.5" from where they currently are - i might work on it...
Just got this mounted. NOT HAPPY with the final result. THERE'S A HUGE gap between the charger control head and the door
Is it because I have the NOT FANCY charger cord without the fancy smancy digital screen? is that one larger than this so it fits flush?
Why do I have this cheaper looking...
there's a few other posts with PLENTY of pictures with Taycans and tint - scroll down a pinch and you'll see SIMILAR THREADS. Click that and scroll through the pictures. literally DOZENS of images people have posted over the years
things to note - some people like it darker than others. Some...
Odd question - and i'm not sure how to find out the answer. Took my first long distance trip this weekend (excluding back and forth to the dealer) , and i'm just NOT impressed with the mileage... (6 months in, 4000 miles)
2021 4s With the Mission E wheels. I've learned lately they do what...
interesting about programming the diamond to be the OPEN/CLOSE - mine is programmed for the HOMELINK screen - but i have 3 doors (and randomly park in one of the three - hey, house full of females - go figure) so i actually NEED my screen (to choose the correct door) versus the open/close...
Thanks Lars - exactly what i was looking for. It sounds like this is what one poster did in a post a few months ago when their car lost braking ability. I'll let you know if i ever have to utilize this. My car's in the shop now for this issue. Hopefully it never happens again...
EMERGENCY BRAKE - is there one we can apply while driving if this happens?
i came across a post from a while back, someone (UK?) saying if they hadn't applied the E-Brakes they would have hit the car in front of them. I direct messaged that person to ask HOW TO APPLY THEM (no response to DM)...
yeah - i'd make an appointment if i were you. sooner the better. i'll post any resolutions to this board and you can use that to show your people.
here's what i'm not sure some people (including my service advisor??) understand - when this happens, it's NOT like the brakes are being applied...
they've got it at the shop now. rained pretty good wednesday (?) and they drove it a bit - they didn't experience the spongy brakes but are still checking potential causes thoroughly. They're taking it pretty seriously
do you have the PSCB, @rpd? I'm thinking that's the main thing similar...
Just yesterday I picked up a loaner Cayenne whilst the Taycan is in the shop.
Upon initial button pressing - the mandatory process EVERY MAN does where you press and twist every button, knob, etc - i realized the center console in the Cayenne DOES STAY OPEN....
Now, i need to figure out how...
It's raining pretty good later this week - so today it's going in so they can test it during the rain (and get the all-season tires) - i'll let ya'll know how it goes - thanks for all the feedback so far. Sorry to all of you with the same (or similar issues)
i'll DM you. i looked forever and stumbled upon ONE SET. they're' studded (i thin) so for severe winter weather... my dealer ended up putting all-weather on my car so i didn't pullthe trigger
that's a great thought - thanks. pumping the breaks lightly doesn't 'clean' them because you're going regen brakes-off-regen brakes - off - regen brakes-off-regen brakes - off and not 'hitting' the mechanical brakes..... i never stopped to think about that and realize that
thought though -...
I have iphone 12-ish no appleplay (it screwed EVERYTHIG up after each call or text - would not revert to FM radio, jsut be silent)
i get a DING with a text. about 3-4 minutes after my watch and phone alert me to the text. Literally, no exaggeration
no delay on call notifications, but 3-4...
had this in my wife's convertible Merc. was cool as hell. For a week. Then you find the setting you like and leave it on there forever... I actually forgot about this option until i stumbled upon this post...
sad update.... Porsche won't cover the non-standard winter tires. so
a) live with all seasons. period
b) [changed slightly] well, i guess now i can just buy a set of 21" wheels to put the summer tires on (or all season ones) and swap them out twice annually
c) pay porsche to swap the...
