Good news for the US Taycan crew (eventually,) especially on the West Coast. The “West Coast Electric Hiway” was developed with CHAdeMO, so it is now effectively a brick. You can...
This looks terrific and my color + wheel build too. I decided however to go for the extra range and get lots of goodies. West coast USA has long distances to the beach with spotty or non-existent Electrify America. Just one critical EA that is typically 50% or more offline. Given that, I decided...
My dealer said today the Glovis Sunrise will arrive Tuesday the 21st in Benicia. He designated a “hot’ delivery, placed on a truck and in Seattle by the 25th. He said delivery the following week. PanameraFrank’s should be riding north on I-5 with mine, delivered to the dealer a little earlier...
Klaus Zellmer, President and CEO of PCNA, might want to be paying attention to what his new Taycan owners are experiencing. The early adopters can influence his bread and butter electric Macan sales in the future. Just imagine lining up for the one unbroken Electrify America charger with a...
Taycan 4S is through the Panama Canal, headed to Ecuador. Clearly a vacation stop to tour the the Galápagos Islands. Hope the turtles don’t slow things down and it arrives at Benicia near schedule!
That’s one looooooong afternoon vacation nap.
It’s two hours to a supercharger, but I’ve located some restaurants 30 miles away where I can use a Tesla Tap. Have to have a couple of beers each time....
Thanks!
Anyone used or have an idea how long it will take to charge a 4S Plus to 80% with NEMA 5-15 @ 120? I’ll be at a beach cabin for a few weeks with only 120. Hoping not more than two weeks! ;) Thanks
The Taycan’s on board and headed to Cristobal, the port just outside the Panama Canal. Then through the locks, headed towards San Francisco's Port Benicia. Have my clear side markers and rack on the way. Next, getting the electrical done for the charging dock. It’ll be here soon! Who else has...
I ordered Porsche Cross bars for my Taycan to be arriving next week. Best as I can discover, from 911 threads elsewhere, is that these Porsche racks may be made be Thule. The crossbars are not round, but flatter and more oval, so different from the Yakama system. I have Thule components, so...
I currently have the Thule system and hoping I can just get the Porsche Cross bars, so I can use the system over buying all new. Also bit nervous relying on suction when carrying two heavy 29’r mountain bikes. Mechanical attachments seem safer and don’t mind taking on and off.
Looking for some advice on the Taycan’s roof rack. The Porsche factory rack looks to have cross bars that are similar (or the same) to Thule’s. Will the Thule bike rack and accessories fit the Porsche cross bar? Thanks
