It looks awesome with the glass roof and no rails.
Does it still have mounting pads for the rails like in the configurator? I guess all my questions are about mounting bikes to the car!
Love how it looks in all black! Nice spec.
I’ve got a bit of an odd request: could you take a look or feel behind the plastic wheel arch trim pieces for fasteners, clips or holes? I’m curious whether they’re stuck on with VHB tape like the badge at the back and can be removed without leaving a...
The gloss black looks like the only one with a smooth surface that’s capable of being wrapped. I’m planning to PPF at least the front, and maybe just do them all in satin PPF to make them match the plastic better. Might be something to think about.
Is that ice grey? Are you saying that the color you saw looks good or bad? Thanks for the pics!
I’m on the fence between ice grey and jet black metallic
Ordered my 4S CT in early March for August/September delivery but can’t seem to get any response from my sales rep in the SF bay on dates, timelines, or even build lock date. Good times.
Anyone else with a delivery in September to CA have an idea of timeframes?
The cross turismo has optional fore-aft roof rails on either side to mount cross bars, while the regular taycans bolt straight to the roof. Folks may be confusing the two here. Rails are required on the cross turismo if you want to use cross bars.
If you don’t care about locking your bikes to...
let’s hope so, ideally they’d announce a sport turismo in time for orders to change!
also worth mentioning that the lower cars have smaller frontal area, which means less drag and longer range. It’s more of a functionality trade than an across the board win. Same reason the cars lower...
The vents are there to reduce high pressure in the wheel wells and to help the air curtain. This is common practice on many modern cars nowadays, and generally not considered up for debate.
The result is lower drag and less lift (ie: more downforce) at high speeds. You can read that as a range...
Were you able to add it to your build, or did you have to order it separately? Also, what dealer got an allocation this early? Mine is due for delivery 9/3 and I haven't gotten a build lock date from Marin.
Minor update after seeing PCCBs are specced with min weights in this thread: https://www.taycanforum.com/forum/threads/who-wants-to-know-exactly-how-much-each-front-and-rear-pccb-weigh.4530/
It turns out the standard and PCCB brakes may be even closer than I first thought.
For folks who may want to leave their car unattended with the bike on top, the seasucker does not have the ability to lock your bike to your car. Thought it worth mentioning as this has always been the reason I don’t use them.
Are you in the US? So far it looks like the US is not getting the rear mount bike rack. You need to tick an option (NG1?) that isn’t available to get the mounting points for the rack during build. That might make the decision easy.
Side note, where are you finding photos of cross turismos? I...
