For anyone who cares, I figured out this is moot if you use wireless Apple Carplay, because that REQUIRES piggybacking off of the car's GPS signal. That functionality is optional if you use wired Carplay, but is probably implemented here given that wireless is supposed to be supported (in the...
I confirmed this is true with two caveats:
1. Percent of 150/400 varies by region, so saying there are not many of them is not true for everyone.
2. There was speculation that Porsche’s 50 kW charger could not get as close to 50 kW as the 150 kW charger. I don’t know if that was ever...
If you could feel the difference in vibration from the armrest then you didn’t level match the two sources. iTunes is known to have taken a stance against loudness wars that have decreased dynamic range. This may have changed but Tidal used LUFS of -14 which is +2 dB from reference.
E.g...
Thanks. For me it's the opposite, I use the mirror to judge how close I am. But I guess if there's literally no room you have to do what you have to do. I remember when I was in one of those small parking lots in Europe and no sooner had I finished saying how I couldn't believe no one crashes...
I don't think this is true. It allows the anti-roll bars to be less stiff when not cornering which improves comfort over a bump because the impact is transmitted less to the other side. That's actually one of the main reasons for a dynamic system as opposed to always keeping it as stiff as it...
Just curious... why would you want to at this point? How many times could someone possibly hit your mirror? Surely it'd be cheaper just to replace if someone hits it. Do you use it to see if your car is locked or something?
I remember reading about this; it's a plastic and the first all-plastic brake pedal:

According to this the 2-speed transmission is a transaxle with an integrated limited slip differential. Would there really be two versions depending on whether you get PTV+ or not or do you always get the LSD? I tried to find a parts catalog for the Taycan but no luck.
Burmester is more than a speaker upgrade. Amplifiers are obviously different since they have different power ratings. The processors at least have different software since they have different DSP modes. It’s unknown whether they use different DACs but they certainly could’ve.
You keep on using that word, "hi-res," I do not think it means what you think it means.
But in case you really do care about hi-res (> 16-bit 44.1/48 kHz), my understanding is that even Burmester doesn't support it in Porsches.
This can't possibly be true? I've bought plenty of cars the year before their model year, including from Porsche. Manufacturers love to get the new model year out early in the previous calendar year so dealers aren't stuck with 2020's in 2021.
On my ICE Porsches it’s useful to prime the engine for merging and passing. With the instant torque of an EV that seems unnecessary, so I didn’t spec it.
(On the flip side, it’s impossible to leave Sport Plus on in an ICE without sounding like a hooligan, but you don’t have that problem in an EV.)
Can someone with this option confirm that it has no effect on your phone's GPS (especially if you have a metal roof)? On other cars some people say it's a big problem and others say it's fine. Thanks!
Just to add a counterpoint as a warning to anyone reading this thread and thinking Bose will be good enough without trying it. Just listened to my favorite Tay Tay songs on the Taycan Bose system and it's only marginally better than on other Porsches. Bass was just as boomy, and this just...
