Burmester is more than a speaker upgrade. Amplifiers are obviously different since they have different power ratings. The processors at least have different software since they have different DSP modes. It’s unknown whether they use different DACs but they certainly could’ve.

You keep on using that word, "hi-res," I do not think it means what you think it means. But in case you really do care about hi-res (> 16-bit 44.1/48 kHz), my understanding is that even Burmester doesn't support it in Porsches.

This can't possibly be true? I've bought plenty of cars the year before their model year, including from Porsche. Manufacturers love to get the new model year out early in the previous calendar year so dealers aren't stuck with 2020's in 2021.

On my ICE Porsches it’s useful to prime the engine for merging and passing. With the instant torque of an EV that seems unnecessary, so I didn’t spec it. (On the flip side, it’s impossible to leave Sport Plus on in an ICE without sounding like a hooligan, but you don’t have that problem in an EV.)
