Thanks for replying. There is a lot of conflicting information though. This is also from Porsche:
"Between 50 and 80 km/h the steering direction is constantly changing depending on the driving conditions."...
Below 37, wheels move in opposite direction. Above 50, they move in same direction. In between they don’t move at all. That’s on 911s, anyone know if it’s the same case for Taycans? If so RAS doesn’t seem helpful from a street performance perspective because that’s exactly the speed range I’d be...
I thought it would be the best thing since sliced bread but it was a gimmick (to me). You can’t trust it if there’s anything higher than the cameras, even though the perspective makes you think you can. There also isn’t enough precision that you can really trust it to get close to something...
I was wondering why you'd want the radio when there's the high-revving 16k rpm engine to listen to. But then I noticed you have the turbo, which really muffles the sound.
Doesn't have to be specific to the Taycan, but I'm trying to decide for the Taycan. I have had to replace my rears way earlier than the fronts on other Porsches and I assumed it was the PTV. But reading more about this some people say PSM is what causes it and it may be even worse without the...
Windshield - metallic UV layer (would've already been laminated)
Side windows - laminated glass w/ metallic layer
Rear window - I heard no change because it has the antenna
Pano roof - no change; already multi-layer
I finally found an online parts catalog for the Taycan. Unfortunately, there are two different part numbers for the entire motor/transaxle assembly on a 4S, one with LSD and one without. I can't believe that Porsche would go through that trouble instead of just including LSD on all of them...
I went to school in Pittsburgh and I'm confused by your description of the winters. If I were going to go through the trouble of swapping tires from summers I would totally swap with winters not all-seasons there.
That being said if you really want to go with all-seasons maybe you can find...
Originally I liked the concept of surround view cameras but the birds eye view deceives you into thinking it's from above, when really it obviously doesn't show anything above where the cameras are. Came close to hitting some things due to that. In addition, the hump on the side view mirrors...
Pano roof is already multi-paned; that package won't change the roof (I heard it doesn't even change the rear window because it's used for reception).
But even if the glass were better insulated than the metal, it's still a giant acoustically reflective surface in the car vs. absorptive fabric...
