Mine was delivered with Spyder 21" wheels and Michelin tyres but for winter and more range I bought a set of standard 19" wheels with Michelin pilot sport 4's (for little money). I really don't know why I bother with the 21" wheels whilst they supposedly look good this is really just a fashion...
There's little new in the automotive world and the similarity to the Panhard 24 is striking in the front end design and why not it was a very pretty car built from '64 to '67 only. This one was snapped in Angouleme in September. We really need more great small cars with sporting nature.
There is an issue no question. It’s also a large part of why Taycan has huge unsustainable depreciation. Unsustainable because much of the demand for new Taycans would have come from existing owners trading up to new models. However trading up for many Taycan owners will now be too expensive...
Interesting I bought a set of standard 19” Porsche rims and tyres with normal tyres for a song and run them in winter. When the tread wears down I’ll fit an all season tyre. What would be a preferred all season winter tyre? The 19” wheels and tyres are super comfy, more pothole proof and also...
Tesla model S I think is a direct competitor to the Taycan but not in the UK - I would still buy a Taycan even if Model s was available but I get some people are out off by the Porsche brand but really it drives so well and has all the Hal marks of Porsche quality and in my experience at least...
In the Uk I think it's currently wait and replace as they break. Not a great idea as of curse they only fail when stressed ie mid winter in the UK. Mine packed up over Xmas 23 and was told six weeks. for a repair and offers a crummy enterprise here car- No thanks. So I said- ' not really good...
A friend has just done that after Uk recent floods in his ICE AMG Merc, it stopped 10m after the flood and is now written off...expensive insurance claim...who knew the Taycan is amphibious !! Just incredible.
Model S is a great car especially the latest version but I see no chance of RHD coming any time soon and even then it doesn't have the support that the Taycan has. I have found Porsche dealerships are a cut above most other car companies. Tesla ownership experience is way behind Porsche but...
I budgeted for Panamera type depreciation. But don’t plan to sell for six years after that it doesn’t matter. After dealer demonstrator discount and then uk tax break mine owes me less than 60% of list price so if I get say 20% back after six years I’ll be happy. Swapping and changing any...
The actual car fundamentals are excellent though. But, but...it's a large car and driving the 911 has reminded me how well they fit on the UK roads and how much I missed that manual interaction. BUT I only miss that interaction if I am properly 'driving'. As in not just getting to places. The...
