I don't think this ship has made it to Emden yet.
There's a huge backlog of cars to get on ships (mine has been in Emden since 6/26], so It would make sense to have an interim spot they're stashing them between the factory and port, to not fill up the port lots.
Ships seem to be running 3-5...
I think getting any such detailed information would require someone who actually works with/for the port of Emden. Looking at ship movements from the outside doesn't tell you anything about what is on the ship, which is the key information.
That's the reason I suggested people posting statuses...
The easiest way to figure it out may be to poll people with cars waiting at port about when their cars arrived and where they're going. That info can be compared to shipping schedules to see if ships have come and gone unless that person knows. For example:
Car: 4s Sedan
Arrival in Emden...
I see the same thing. Car finished production June 25 and was in Emden June 27. It was supposed to ship out July 5th. It's been there since. Two boats have come and gone since.
My delivery date moved out a little over a month to mid August, but now I'm not optimistic they'll have the shipping...
Looks like it's sitting off the coast of England. Ships seem to be late getting into port and then very slow getting out again. My SA indicated they heard there is a dock worker strike limiting throughput, backing things up.
Edit: the tracking schedule was updated to add a few days delay...
It doesn't show any recalls for my VIN so who knows?
There was talk of a 12v battery factory fire, but I can't find any information about it. There was also talk of a dock strike in Germany. Just seems odd to me that a whole group of cars got delayed to the same date independent of when they...
That's awesome! Not long now for you.
Given the consistency of everyone else's 7/29 dates, I wonder if they wanted to get the west coast cars out asap and they're planning on applying whatever update/fix necessary when it lands. The trip buys them some time.
It doesn't seem like anyone's Taycan has gotten on a boat since June and it seems like they are piling up in port. It's also suspicious that everyone seems to have got bumped to exactly 7/29.
Boats have come and gone, curious how they are going to get all of these backed up cars out at any pace.
Apologies in advance if you knew all of this...
Ceramic coating will provide some minimum form of protection from hard water stains and other contaminates (bird bombs, etc.). They also make cleaning easier by making the surface more slippery, allowing the surface dirt to wash away. Gloss is...
IT looks like a lot of people got shifted to a 7/29 "on vessel" date. People in the August and September threads are reporting similar changes. My car has been in Emden since 6/27 and on vessel got moved to 7/29, so they seem to be rolling a large chunk of cars into a single delayed group...
Mark,
I had the same thing pop-up this morning. TYD's on-ship date has moved from 7/8 to 7/29.
The Siem Aristotle has been sitting at dock for quite a while, making me wonder if something has gone wrong. The Sunshine Ace seems like the next option and is making its way to Emden now. I'm not...
I think the shipping schedule is the controlling factor. There seems to be a few day shift either way depending on port delays or transports getting to the destination a bit early.
That's a bummer Mark.
I'm also hoping to get on the Siem Aristotle as well. It arrived in Emden July 3 but has been anchored offshore since. I assume it is waiting for a pier to open up.
It seems like if you car is at Emden it is either waiting for the ship you need or is waiting on a part to be installed.
Here is the shipping schedule from https://www.taycanforum.com/forum/threads/july-2022-delivery.10596/post-169046
Do you know what US port cars that end in Chicago get...
Very exciting!

Looks like it has more stops to go before it heads westward. Also you can try to search for the berthing schedule for the destination port to see when it is...
Looks great! How did you get notified of it being loaded?
I don't think the SFL conductor is making a stop in New England this trip so I get to wait for the next one :)
