And like that, things change...
My TYD updated to say my car is on vessel. It's supposedly on lake wanaka. The schedule that's been posted a few times doesn't have lake wanaka on it at all, but the Davisville schedule shows it as arriving end of August.
So my takeaway so far is that TYD is...
My delivery date just slipped again this morning.
I originally had "Arrived Emden Port" marked as complete 6/27. It updated to being "completed" once again yesterday.
On vessel was scheduled for 8/19, but is now 9/2 and delivery moved out two weeks correspondingly.
I don't see any boat...
I'm not sure how that works if the other fellow is right and the delay is more severe. If they are not shipping them and not slowing down the production line, they're going to end up with having to stash every new car coming off the line until they can produce enough batteries and install them...
This is nutty. Does it delay production of all units for 4-6 months? Are they still producing any Taycans? Seems like it would be a bigger deal (press and otherwise) if all Taycan production just hit the brakes for 1/3-1/2 of the year.
The San Martin finally docked last night (7 days later than scheduled).
If you've got a car going to Houston or Davisvile and your car is completed and in Emden, cross your fingers!
New message when opening TYD:
Dear Customer,
PCNA is aware of new delays in shipping completed vehicles currently awaiting loading in Port of Emden. The delays are due to shipping vessel availability disruptions and labor shortages at the Port of Emden that are largely outside of Porsche’s...
Mine slipped as well. I have the same on vessel date (along with others in other threads) which implies to me they're just pushing it out again with no real knowledge of when it will get on a ship. My car has been sitting in Emden since the end of June.
Porsche is really killing it.
That really sucks. Hopefully it's a super conservative estimate that they're just shoving out.
If you zoom in on the tracking map, can you see where the car stopped? I have been assuming they have a temporary staging area until lots at the port free up, leading to the never actually getting to...
I noticed a mismatch between the shipping schedules and the actual ship movements. The siem Cicero isn't scheduled to land in davisville at all per the schedule table, but per the port schedule and the ship tracking web sites it is evidently supposed to stop there tomorrow.
I wonder if they...
Supposed to be on vessel today and delivered 8/20.
However, there's no ships available going to the east coast and it's missed 2 or 3 options already. Next option is the San Martin supposedly landing tomorrow...after that it's the end of August.
I'm expecting September. Original date was May...
