Motorway driving is indeed beneficial to range since you’re not wasting energy on stop and go driving. However, at high speeds physics become a problem again as wind and rolling resistance as well as the higher energy drain which leads to more energy wasted as heat significantly drains range...
Wow.
Let's set aside the energy consumption debate first. Ethereum moved to Proof-of-stake last year and does not consume significant amounts of energy anymore. Neither does any of the other L1 blockchains apart from Bitcoin. So the energy consumption claim you bring up has nothing to do with...
I respectfully disagree. A lot of “crypto” is a scam, but I think it’s lazy and factually incorrect to label everything a scam. There are plenty of legitimate use cases and lots of projects with significant utility.
I won’t be buying Porsche NFTs anytime soon but it will be interesting to see...
I see what you mean. In reality the lights only briefly light up to confirm the action. They switch off shortly afterwards. Give it a try and see for yourself.
At any rate, turning of the key is a much easier solution than dealing with Farday pouches in my opinion. Also conserves keyfob battery...
Just an FYI, the reason neither car will remember your previous mode has to do with emission/consumption testing. The Taycan gets its WLPT/EPA ratings based on the default mode, and due to regulatory nonesense the car cannot therefore start in a non-default mode.
Don’t think PCM 7.0 is even a thing yet. But there’s hope PCM 6 will be updated with further fixes going forward. If you have software issues I would report them to your dealer. I don’t really have any problems with mine and find it to be pretty good overall as far as Infotainment systems go.
It seems like this is primarily an issue that affects the iPhone 12. I’ve tried several Android devices and had no issues, but my iPhone 12 Pro will overheat and thermal throttle like crazy.
Anyone with an iPhone 13 or 14 having the same issue?
Having worked with one of the major players in EV engineering, here’s what the data I’ve seen suggests:
Charging to 80% as opposed to 100% has an insignificant impact on long term battery health. However, long term storage at 100% is not advised, but to negate that issue in any meaningful lil...
Am I the only one who loves the climate vent control? In all my previous cars the vents have been adjusted all over the place. Either passengers just adjust them nonsensically or they bump into them by accident in the back seat and I have to crawl around and adjust them back. In the Taycan I can...
If it means something, I love the Ice Grey color. I was hesitant myself since I hadn’t really seen it in person either. It looks white in certain lighting conditions and grey in others.
