looking for Taycan owners for motoring event in the UK end of July 2021

Just gauging interest at this point: There's a major motoring/motorsport event in the UK taking place at the end of July. I can't name the event right now on a public forum, but I'm happy to provide more details via PM. In previous years they had VIPs shuttled around the different parts of the...

    Will my car charge tonight?

(Off topic, but interesting) Surprisingly not with Lithium Ion batteries. Just measuring the battery voltage Isn’t very accurate measure of remaining capacity, especially if the battery is under load. The Battery Management Sytem essentially keeps track of power in and power out to estimate the...

    Will my car charge tonight?

This doesn’t answer your question at all .. but I have my Taycan set to 85% on the general profile and I control the times from my Ohme charger, which knows about my Octopus Eneegy Go tariff (I guess you must be using something similar). What I have had happen a couple of times is that I’ve...

I’d keep the ACC - it does work well and is required for the FoD upgrades if you change your mind about innodrive in the future.

Taycan auto opening without comfort access

I remembered this thread since I’ve just experience the same issue in the last week or so - the car has started unlocking itself as it would with comfort access, only I don’t have comfort access. Also doing the same with my wife’s key. Locking by pressing the hidden sensor on the door handle...

Production Mercedes EQS with little camo

Those look like 3 separate screens to me. At least the main dash display isn’t curved like the Taycan -I dread to think how much that would cost to replace. Another reason I’m handing back after 3 years, there’s no way I’d own an out-of-warranty Taycan!

Worse build ever? do your worst…

OK, bound to upset someone but here goes: http://www.porsche-code.com/PMS893A2 I don't know what Mahogany is supposed to look like, but to me it's brown. The brown wheels I think are a stroke of genius. I did consider a red interior and that did look pretty terrible, but having brown...

    Car tyre alloy wheel insurance

I have this: https://totallossgap.co.uk/smartcare-cosmetic-insurance/906 £300 for 3yr cover on wheels, bodywork, interior. Have a claim going through right now for NSR 20” Turbo Aero with kerb damage with a diamond cut rim. Actual repair is done by Revive. Have used them before on my Merc and...

Car Touchscreen Protector for Taycan - review

I had an email from Car Touchscreen Protector to say they'd updated the central display protector to cover the full shape of the touchscreen (though I see there's still an edge to it)

    Super Deduction UK

Yes, I was looking at this too (early upgrade?) but I haven't seen any definition of "qualifying equipment" yet.
