    Newbie - day #1

Pardon if any of my replies below are a repeat of others... Heated mirrors As others said, works in conjunction with rear defrost, and/or when preconditioning (preheating cabin) on a cold day. Same goes with the rear defrost, actually; if it is cold enough when you "remote start" that will just...

    taycan replacement

Of the 100+ cars that I've owned, plus the ~20 my wife has had, we've had a dozen Tesla vehicles. We've had 2x Polestar 2, 3x Volvo XC40/C40 BEVs, and a smattering of other cars. The '21 CT that I have now is my 3rd Taycan. And I've owned 2x Audi eTron Gt. I change cars like most people...

    taycan replacement

Just to add MORE data points beyond my prior long winded reply -- Depending on your time frame and your budget, Polestar will be revealing the final USA spec/details on the Polestar 4 on the 31st January, as per today's social media. That car should arrive Q3/4 of this year, start around $60k...

    taycan replacement

@TXSchnee brings up a valid point about the Korean cars; dont sleep on those, they are far nicer than the Hyundai/Kia vehicles of a decade ago. I've driven most of those and would seriously consider a few of them. High lights for me include the Genesis GV60 which is on the eGMP platform; in...

Probably can’t be done… but just in case

LOL @WattTurbo thanks for the credit -- as for the OP -- @Racer_Ex here is how this works. Pressing the home button repeatedly will swap you between the main Home Screen (showing app icons) and the special home screens with the 3 tiles. To customize that screen you must be at a...

    taycan replacement

Having driven all of the cars on your list, and owned a few--- LUCID - They are still suffering some build quality issues. Overall, it drives nice and small, given the size it is a well packaged machine. There are some good points here, like efficiency and the materials feel really nice. But...

Probably can’t be done… but just in case

If you use the 3-tile Home Screen (pressing Home Screen button on PCM a second time), you can make one of the tiles drive mode, or ride height etc. That would give you much quicker access if that is something you change often. I don’t tend to fiddle with my drive mode or ride height etc enough...

Probably can’t be done… but just in case

If your signature is correct, and you have a Turbo S variant, then yeah as @McgR said you've got the ability to set an Individual mode on your steering wheel mounted knob. IIRC all Turbo/TurboS vehicles come with SportChrono, with the dash mounted chronograph, and the steering mounted control...

    Spotify error

Had the same issue yesterday (20-JAN-2024) here in USA, with Apple Music. In my case after leaving the car locked for 30+ mins it resolved itself. So it seems like it was a temporary outage for me, and is fine again now. Edit: Spoke too soon-- today (21-JAN-2024) and it has started failing...

Taycan Instrument Cluster: 3 dial set up?

So you use the right button (circle) to switch between tubes, and then -prior- to clicking the scroll wheel, you roll it up/down -- does it bring up a menu like in this video? but only "Tire Info" is listed? Make sure you're not clicking the scroll wheel first by accident. Out of curiosity...

Taycan Instrument Cluster: 3 dial set up?

Let's be honest your reply was the most constructive one, followed perhaps then by mine. Maybe between your comments and my link too, the OP will figure it out. I did appreciate that your first sentence of your first reply was more or less RTFM without being so direct hahahahaha  ?

Taycan Instrument Cluster: 3 dial set up?

No, they do not. They are saying they are clicking the roller wheel button, and only seeing the options within that. They were unaware to scroll up/down first once highlighting the correct zone. So I'd disagree with your comment wholeheartedly. EDIT: Worded differently, they seem to be aware...

Taycan Instrument Cluster: 3 dial set up?

Sigh... so many replies and yet nobody has actually answered the OPs question. Here goes actual ANSWERS: On the RIGHT side of your steering wheel are a total of 3x buttons (4x if you count the roller wheel can be pressed). Top left corner is the phone button which will bring up phone...

    19.2 kWh Charger Recommendation

+1 for the reply from @daveo4EV .... that is more or less the comprehensive list. That said, I recently have been getting advertisements on FB for a unit from Duracell Power (LINK HERE) that is 19.2kW and looks kind of cool and feature packed. If you look at the PDF data sheet it mentions both...

Right scroll wheel on steering wheel

Your right scroll wheel is solely used to control the instrument cluster functions. Your left to control volume. AS always, when in doubt, consult the owners manual.

REVIEW (In Progress) :: Falken Azenis FK460 A/S Tires (Taycan 4 CT)

QUICK FOLLOW-UP We are in the middle of a "Winter Storm Warning & Watch" with 6-8 inches of new snow expected in < 24 hour period here in my area. We've already seen 3-4" of it and I just finished doing about an hour of driving (errands and morning commute to work). Today's temps are warmer...

REVIEW (In Progress) :: Falken Azenis FK460 A/S Tires (Taycan 4 CT)

FIRST SNOW EXPERIENCES Today was my first work commute with snow, and we're currently dealing with below zero (Fahrenheit) wind chills here in Ohio/USA. Keep in mind that I have no empirical data to share here, this is all just "seat of pants" butt-dyno type stuff LOL so forgive me for whatever...

Winter tire plan - Pacific Northwest

@WasserGKuehlt -- you are 100% correct that I was suggesting a single tire that could be the one-and-done option. But if you get any sizable amount of snow, then a season specific setup is always the way to go. You interpreted my message properly :) @Vercingetorix are you talking about 20"...
