I think I will go for a compact wheel lock.
Not 100% safe, but I hope it will at least slow down the process of stealing the car, to discourage doing it.
All depends on your preferences. To me all these options do not really matter and the RWD is fast enough.
I would pick the RWD because it has lower mileage.
Pick the one that has the color that you like most. :-) Or do they have the same color ?
Reading the post above, I can also confirm that the problem is probably the charging network in the US, not the car.
I do not fast charge a lot and I have the small 79kwh battery, which charges a bit slower.
But I have honestly never had a fast charging session where I did not achieve a max...
I need to park my Taycan at the airport for a week and I was thinking about buying a steering wheel lock.
Reading the post above, I conclude that it is not a good enough solution.
What else is worth doing ?
Is a wheel lock worth buying ? Something else ?
It nice to see humans keep on finding solutions for their problems. We will surely succeed in solving the climate change and environmental problems.
I believe we can be optimistic.
To me, the only number that is important is 'what does it really cost to replace the battery of a Taycan with a refurbished one, out of warranty ?'
If I do not know that number, I will sell the car before it is 8 years old.
If it is in the same price range as a Tesla model S (about 10000 euro)...
I strongly believe this exercise is not tracking the right number. It is good for relative measurements but it can not be used in absolute context.
I believe the total energy is a better number to track.
For example: In my car the SoH is 92%. But the total energy is 68kwh. This is 95% of the...
The tesla sites are a good backup plan. I don't use it often but it is nice to know that there is a huge amount of chargers nearby if any other option fails.
I am not so fond of big government, but in this case, the EU did a good job of standardizing the charging infrastructure soon. And...
Do you know what they replaced ? Only one module or the entire pack ? (I have the impression that Porsche replaces the entire pack on the 2020-2021 taycan's because they still have the 'old' chemistry batteries.)
When they announced the car, they said that one of the advantages was that the...
I also got the small battery.
Looking back, the big battery would be totally unnecessary.
I only fast-charged 6 times this year. An average of 16 minutes.
Of which one changing stop could have been avoided if I would have the bigger battery. That time, I charged for 7 minutes.
So I could have...
I also experienced these problems. There were exceptionally many connectivity issues this week. I think they have been doing some updates/changes to the system causing a lot of hick-ups.
I know somebody that had a Tesla model S full battery replacement out of warranty costing 10000 euro. (with a refurbished battery)
How can a Taycan battery replacement be 5 times more expensive ?
I have the same feeling. I like my Taycan. And I do not regret buying it. But it will surely be my first and last Porsche.
It is nice to experience a very nice, expensive car. It is a very good car. But it just not good enough to justify the price. There are too many things that are better in...
