Windshield Replacement - Astonished at the Price Charged -- $3,358!!

My windshield was replaced a few months ago for $3,500+. Perhaps, Safelight is now capable to repair/replace, they would not touch it when mine was damaged. Please keep us posted.

Door handle does not detect touch?

Features of comfort access do not work consistently. The indent only works 50% of the time - door handle does not always open as intended. I gave up and just use the FOB, it seems to work reliably. On a fairly new 991- 911, I had a leaking hydraulic chain tensioner. I was told "They all do...

Porsche says “significant price increases” coming middle of this year

It may be that since the last financial crisis ('08 -'09), we have been spoiled with low interest rates and low inflation. With the inflation the world is experiencing post Covid, it is not surprising that PAG will be raising prices to achieve the their historical margins. IMO, if one perceives...

Taycan Brakes fail in wet conditions - NHTSA complaint March 2, 2023

Known issue - from the Taycan manual: "Be aware of braking behavior in rain or snow In heavy rain, while driving through water or after leaving a car wash, the brake disks are coated with a water film, the braking action may be delayed and increased pressure may be required."

    Taycan 2022 battery issue.

The range estimator is meaningless as too many factors could create this. Did your SOC decline from 95% to 91% or 92%?

Taycan Brakes fail in wet conditions - NHTSA complaint March 2, 2023

Initially coming from cars in the late 60's early 70's (when my driving career started), nothing was 100% reliable. I have found that driving the Taycan in heavy rain equates to brakes not working as they should. I routinely apply brakes in heavy rain on a regular basis - this seems to mitigate...

Taycan Turbo Accident - Damage Opinion

Whether or not the car is totaled is not known as it yet is to be adjusted. A reasonable approach is when the vehicles fair market value less its salvage exceeds cost of repair, the insurance company will total it. Airbags, seats, lights, frame issues, battery components or the whole battery...

    Too many Taycans for sale??

If one is not prepared to experience at least 15% per year in devaluation for the first 3 years, then move on to the used market. This is the price of "new". Do folks think they are buying a collectible? Younger folks may believe that cars are appreciating assets, but unfortunately they are not...

Traded my Taycan in - do I give the charger back also?

Why would anyone want this POS? I am scared to death of it. It has been in storage for a long time now. Don't need my house burning down.

All we ever receive OTA in the US is map and other meaningless updates and at the most inconvenient times I might add.

    Foggy rear camera

Every survey I have completed including service visits and Porsche Drivers Council, the camera issue is highlighted. Can't do much more than this! I am sure that PAG knows about this issue.

    Foggy rear camera

You are better off without the camera - substandard - a real Porsche disappointment. I will not even use it anymore, the rearview mirror works just fine.

HAGERTY's Taycan vs 911 review - by Henry Catchpole

Interestingly, I read the responses to the OP's post. Having owned several 911's and a current GT3 owner, I think I am qualified to opine! The Taycan is great vehicle, truthfully I look forward to getting in to it everyday as my DD. It still excites me, more so than any 911 I have ever owned on...

    On Demand performance upgrades possible?

D I also received the Driver Council survey. I agree with your assessment. It was not stated if some new functions would be available to existing models. My view on the survey's intentions were: Determine if users were aware that FOD was available Assess the level of users knowledge of the...
