It is Docker, I am waiting for an opportunity to see were the hard disk is located. Hopefully I will then be able to pull it out of my Taycan and make a bit image copy and mount the copy to my linux laptop
I agree. I even asked Porsche about it, their reply was: legal obligation, distance 1 is apparently the minimum distance you need to keep between you and your predecessor. In practice the gap is too wide.
Pfew, never had that happen. Then again, I am working from home for over a year now, so...
(I am just trying to understand what you mean) Why do you have that feeling ? Is the car not slowing down enough when there is a stationary car in front of you while you drive towards it with ACC on?
I fully agree that you shouldn't buy or keep a car that you have no confidence in anymore. On the other hand I also get the feeling that some are blowing it out of proportion.
Maybe it's a cultural thing, some being more relaxed about software glitches than other.
I did not have the highway...
Clear, thanks.
I have searched for a (read only) OBDII dongle that works for the Taycan. Haven't found one yet. I want to use it to view the fault codes and software version numbers of all modules. I had this for my sold Opel Ampera(=Chevrolet Volt).
Maybe the owners that received a patch can use the Engineering mode to inform us about the versions of the updates they see? Have a look at https://www.taycanforum.com/forum/threads/pcm-engineering-mode-contains-pcm-reboot.5090/ for more info, search for MPR3_ER_POG46.
Did you create an account at https://www.porsche.com/middle-east/_dubai_/login/registration ?
If or after you have, can you log in at https://my.porsche.com ?
If you can, is there an option to add a Porsche to your account ?
I think the dealer needs to add your car to your account, so I you got...
I am not 100% sure, but:
Automatic setting will activate recuperation at certain moments.
One of those moments is if a car in front of you is slower and you're not overtaken it.
The recuperation starts at a certain distance, and this distance depends on the desired distance ACC(not sure if you...
Configure a new 4S on the porsche configurator and click the i(=information) next to sport chrono package. You'll get a popup showing that it's more than just the knob.
Most likely it's not just the hardware, which you already have, but also software that needs to run in the car to receive the knobs commands and do something useful with it.
A few days ago the LTE icon disappeared, so today I rebooted the PCM.
Have a look at https://www.taycanforum.com/forum/threads/pcm-engineering-mode-contains-pcm-reboot.5090/ where my wish above comes true :D
(If you use an iPad to enter a new message, don't switch to your camera, first click save draft. Or else you'll loose all text:( entered which obviously happened to me)
Since the LTE icon disappeared a few days ago, I tried to solve it by rebooting the PCM.
First challenge was to figure out...
For what it's worth, I called my PC representative and asked him about the sudden death issue. He said over six hundred Taycans sold in Holland, not a single sudden death reported.
I wish we could get more hardware and software details about our car by simply pushing a few buttons...
My...
Better late then never ;)
I can switch away from Apple Carplay which is running Flitsmeister and still get audio notification about traffic. So the answer to your question is: Yes :D
I also have an OBDII dongle, used it in my Opel Ampera(=Chevrolet Volt) for years to feed Torque Pro with data. Someone created a modified setup for Torque Pro for the Chevrolet Volt, which worked perfectly.
Of course I tried the dongle in my Taycan, but right away I got a message that the high...
