No luck unfortunately. It has been about 36 hours now and still dead. I even tried a reboot parked under a Verizon tower along with all the other tricks listed in the forum :( . Guess I'll give it more time and see if it starts working again...
Saturday morning I was happily listening to BBC World Service on Internet Radio streaming. Then it stopped - "unavailable" - "Check Data Connection". Now it's greyed out. The car has 4 bars of Verizon data and the PCM is communicating car data to My Porsche just fine. The Apple Music app has the...
I agonized over this. I think black with light colors and chrome with dark. The chrome is a more classic look, but in both cases the contrast highlights the lines of the car. Plus, I didn't want my gentian 4S to look like a Tesla Model s :)
FWIW, my RWD Model S rear tires lasted ~10K miles while the front tires last well over 20K. I suspect the combo of lots of power and a 4000lb RWD drivetrain leads to early rear tire wear. It may be the same issue here. I haven't seen the same issue on AWD Teslas. I also never really noticed any...
It sounds like they had a lot of vehicles on the Crystal Ray. Maybe they are still shuttling them from Benicia. They do their prep work in San Rafael, so have to move them again to Mill Valley... FWIW I got the activation link last night as well.
Just got a call from my dealer (Marin). He said my vehicle passed the PDI (pre-delivery inspection) at Benicia and is "released". Just depends on the car carrier schedule then dealer prep. I assume you all are in the same position!
Crystal Ray just left Benicia, so hopefully our cars are on the dock! Trying to get some info from my salesperson, and hoping to pick my car before long! Good luck to all of you!
I just saw that too. Must be an extra stop. They wouldn't go out of their way that far waiting for Santa Maria to open up (I used to be very involved in shipping...). I guess that explains the delay in TYD to the west coast. gggrrrrrrrrr.....
Crystal Ray is unloading in Veracruz. Original schedule said Veracruz arrival today; Santa Marta Jan 6, San Diego Jan 21, then Benicia Jan 23. We may slip a couple of days on congestion but it's looking like we have a good chance of beating the TYD estimates by a fair bit...
