From ChatGPT; which is also my understanding.
In the UK, you’re allowed to have your car serviced outside the franchised dealer network without voiding the manufacturer’s warranty — but you must meet certain conditions.
This protection comes from UK competition law (which carried over from EU...
I’ve done that thanks. My car has been checked. And despite that, got another letter stating that the software update to monitor won’t be done until H2…and that checks every 60 days are required.
- And to charge to 85 and not park indoors.
octopus even called me about. I’m just keen to move on...
Any thoughts on returning a lease car early? Ie can’t garage it nor charge it to full…. Not exactly what we signed up for.
- and now likely to extend throughout this year with my April 22 car needing inspection every 60 days.
Have had both.... I am now on Octopus IOG.
Benefits of IOG...
- Whole house tariff drops to the lower rate during a smart charge.
- Smart charging slots seem relatively plentiful and accurate.
I would go with a Myenergi (as I have) or Hypervolt for two cars. Better to use the charger than a...
Had same... rear tyres on a CT4S last week...
24k miles... original tyres...
Tyres looked like 3 / 3.5mm thoughough, yet passenger side rear very inside edge was down to cords, and drivers side approx. 200m frrom cords showing.
My car does most of its running low at 70 mph.
Update....
My smart meter was detected by Octopus a few days later and the Porsche integration re-stablished.
Put on charge overnight at 76% and awoke with only 83% despite having 6 hours of low cost charging and slots assigned.
Again, unreliable.
As those above have stated, would be better...
Thank you for your thoughtful reply.
"Either that’s a standard Octopus-Zappi integration approach for Taycan, or more likely, your car & Octopus-Porsche account integration was not fully deleted when you removed the Taycan as an Octopus device. You’d assume Taycan on Octopus is account &...
I have tried that.
But in Home 1, I don’t have a compatible EVSE. So rely upon the Porsche integration for smart charging.
And even when I removed the Taycan from home 1, I get an Enode profile appearing at home 2…. Weird right?
My IOG setup is as follows;
Home 1) Taycan setup as an EVE on home (Andersen A2 charger).
Home 2) A Myenergi Zappi registered as a device.
Each device is on a seperate non-connected Octopus account (i.e. i cannot toggle between homes on the Octopus app).
Home 2 has not been reliably charging...
I charged on Thursday night / Friday AM on charge anytime. I didn’t get an enode
Profile that I noticed ( and got the saving logged).
From time to time; I think that the app just uses direct charge rather than a profile. In my case; I had little time to reach my target so perhaps in that...
Over the last year; I’ve come to realise that the dip function has multiple levels of engagement. Ie the display can stay green - but the headlight be brighter. I wonder if your situation is that.
And / or your system needs recalibrated. Which your dealer can do for you.
Yup. I noticed that new functionality. And double checked. Definitely the same username and password as I use in the My Porsche website.
infrrequently lock my account out when I trya new RC. Thank you for your reply.
Featherless…. I’m sorry to ask. But I’ve never been able to successfully login to sidecar. Even on the last two RCs.
- the more recent builds display a login error.
I am definitely using the same login and password as I do on the My Porsche website. Is that the correct authentication I should...
Auto dimming rear view mirror.
- doh. I forgot that on my £100k build.
I like sports sound. I use it especially to alert pedestrians I’m nearby.
