@daveo4EV any new updates here? I got my 2021 last week but it’s been in the detail shop getting paint correction/PPF. Picking up today. As a long time Tesla EV owner this is pretty crazy I didn’t know about this until now. I notice that this started for you 3 months ago and you are very...
I have Always been a black interior guy in 99.9% of my cars. That said I did the limestone/black in my Neptune blue car after seeing it in a volcano car. It’s a great combo.
Thanks @LukeManning. I guess my only other question is can you do launch control without the sport chrono option. I saw a video where someone appeared to be doing it.
That’s a great idea about the stealth option to set expectations. I started clear PPF my cars 10 years ago when XPEL was first released and have done about 15 cars since. I’ve used all the major installers in a large metropolitan city and now there are only 3 in town that do this work for me...
@Smithy37. Please post yours cool garage trick.
I love this stuff and can’t wait to set up the CarPlay shortcut. My car is in the detail shop another 2 days but I’m hoping I can figure out the wireless CarPlay thing
I agree the XPEL computer printed cutouts allow for overlap to wrap the seams. Plus no cutting near the paint. The only bummer is the a pillar on the Taycan goes all the way to the rear quarter panel so I may have to skip the a pillar, wrap the entire roof line and rear quarter panel or accept...
The key is a good installer. Ive used several in my area over the years and really its down to 2 shops now. The precut templates from XPEL have a setting that makes the cuts larger than the panel to allow the installer to wrap the seems around the edges. Lazy installers will use the standard...
Interesting how Neptune Blue almost has two colors with different exposure to sunlight or maybe its the camera. Not unique to Neptune Blue but I thought this was pretty striking.
Exactly right.KingSke. The gen 3 (and gen 2). Allow load sharing from a single circuit. I actually learned this from Dave04ev post and my electrician confirmed it and set it up. He actually said he prefers the gen 3 since they are limited to 48A rather than 80A the gen 2 allowed for for this...
I set up my new garage like Dave’s and went with two Gen 3 Tesla wall chargers ($500/each). They share a 100A circuit and give 48A to each of our 2 EVs simultaneously as 48A is the max allowable from all US EVs at home I believe (Dave 04ev knows more than I) I just have to use a J1722 Tesla...
Having many Porsches including my Taycan I got yesterday I would say not way this is “normal”. The seat was poorly finished or maybe was used in another car at the factory and put in yours? The other possibility is something heavy was placed on the seat during transport causing the crease
Is this a new car? They may be like that if car been driven a while especially is you are not careful getting in or out. In a new car- no way. Not normal seat is used for sure.
