The Audi has been great so far. I like the back much better than the monkey butt on the Taycan. Front is a toss-up. Porsche reminds me of a Tesla, but that Audi "grill" is a bit much. Driving wise it's pretty much identical. Software on the Audi is equally bad. The Audi dealer is much better. No...
@Dabz That is what I did. Had a J1.1 Taycan GTS and wanted a J1.2. Local Porsche dealers just weren't interested in getting me an allocation so I could spec exactly the car I wanted. At Porsche prices I want what I want and not the 4S on the lot that they were pushing. Hello Audi. The Audi...
99.3% is very questionable. That's a number you would see when it leaves the factory. But maybe LG and Porsche finally figured out how to make a good battery for the 2024 cars. Yeah, and Santa is real. More likely is that Porsche is masking the SoH because too many owners are heading to service...
Peruse this thread. https://www.taycanforum.com/forum/threads/import-us-taycan-to-germany.13045/ . I didn't bother with the whole thing but it might answer some questions for you. The general gist of it is that it's probably more trouble than it's worth. Easier ways to get into a European...
True that the Taycan is available in Europe but the charging standards/connectors are not identical. I'm almost certain a US car will not charge at any European HV charger. Level 2 maybe. No clue if an adapter is a possibility (or even exists). I'd check with PCNA before buying.
Not sure the charging system on a US car is compatible with the EU. US is CCS1, the EU CCS2 (it's why the Taycan was never available for the EU delivery program). And you want a sports car? 5,000 lbs and 4 doors isn't a sports car by most definitions. Look for a 911. That car works in either...
Good luck, but I'm willing to bet your charging rate is now 9.6kW. It's like when we were able to charge at 11kW it was a mistake and eventually Porsche got around to correcting it and dropping it back to what was quoted in the specs. Porsche doesn't seem to update much of anything very quickly...
Dealer said nothing but my reduction happened after a service visit. I never saw any indication of an OTA update. I am pretty sure it happened with, or as part of, the ARB6 recall (the HV battery monitoring software). Don't be surprised if your car is now charging at 9.6kW if you have been in...
I won't claim to be 100% certain for a '22 model but my '23 GTS showed 9.6kW charging on the configuration when ordered. The car originally charged at 11kW on a Tesla EVSE and a 60 amp breaker. Porsche did an update and the car was capped at 9.6kW on the same EVSE. How dare they! And then I...
Almost new Lectron Vortex Plus NACS to CCS1 adapter. Used roughly 20+/- times on both J1.1 and J1.2 vehicles. Never faulted, never got above barely warm. Contact pins are spotless. All original packing. This is a spare as a result of one being included with a new car. Very useful on a road trip...
Zunsport grill guards. Great insurance against a stone through the radiators. Fit is excellent. They were on my GTS (now sold) for approximately 25,000 miles. Still look new. Fits J1.1 4, 4S and GTS. Does not fit Turbo or Turbo S. According to the Zunsport website the part number is the same for...
I might be out of luck. My Taycan is gone but I replaced it with an Audi S e-tron GT. Almost the same car? I can download all trip data from the Audi app and open it in a spreadsheet so all the data is there. Your software shows the trips as downloaded but no data is populating the app's...
Well that shoots down that idea. Interesting that it fixed your nav problem for a couple of months but the lack up updates to other systems clearly isn't the answer.
I will just throw this out there. On my 2023 Taycan, U.S. car, the PCM would intermittently freeze. The fix was supposed to be to update the PCM to 3885. In order to do this the tech had to update 8 additional systems/modules. Each was listed on the repair order and was supposedly necessary for...
Regarding the 9.6kW charging (I'm going on U.S. specs here), 9.6kW is at spec. I was able to charge at 11.5kW when I first got the car. Suddenly after having the ARB6 battery monitoring software installed I was capped at 9.6. Checked my purchase docs and listed in the specs is A/C charging at...
If your primary concern is "battery risk/long-term reliability" then a 2025 probably wins out. The J1.2 battery was revised and so far has proven to be much less problem prone. An informal survey on this forum showed just under 18% of the respondents had had module or battery replacements (the...
It seems like the complaint is not being read carefully. The problem is not necessarily happening in the rain. "Within a few days of a rain event, I start getting errors ..." "... out for a drive when it rains or within a few days after a rain event." Sounds like water is getting in somewhere...
Something is wrong with your SoH reading if the other numbers are correct. 45.35 kWh battery energy at 54.75% SoC yields 82.3 kWh available at 100% SoC. Just under 5% degradation (based on 86.7 kWh available at 100% SoH). 210 km range at 54.75% SoC yields 383 km at 100% SoC. Not spectacular...
