I saw a couple Taycans without the electronic steering column adjustment at the dealership yesterday. They were equipped with manual adjustment and the service tech told me how the "fix" would be applied. Sounds pretty straightforward. But previous reports that the column is adjusted at...
Yes, it will be out of AIS range until it is just outside the port at Halifax. The AIS signal range is about 40 nautical miles. If your TYD shows the ship location moving and the miles to dealership counting down, that tracking is pretty accurate from my experience. Otherwise you have to pay...
Something is probably being lost in translation here (meaning the press is sensationalizing things to get clicks/reads - not that they'd ever do that). Could be as simple as Blume describing what they've been doing with the electronic steering columns. And somehow that is described as...
You certainly are TRIGGERED easily. You should have that looked at. Read my post again, and find something in my post that "condemned" the technology. I said that I didn't like it, don't use it, and don't intend to. Why you have a problem with that is hard to say, but quite indicative of...
Get it, and would want to be sure myself. But again, I'm pretty sure it will have to be installed before it can be released for transport. Someone on here probably knows for certain. If for some reason it's not, the dealership does get a listing of "open campaigns" for cars coming from the...
So what was your build date - more specifically, did it go into production before or after June 25th? If before and your car requires the update, I'm pretty sure the "fix" has to be applied at the port before it can be released for transport (open recall/safety issue). If after, the updated...
No - they don't handle it or coordinate it. But as I understand it, different regions/areas/dealerships are serviced by different transport groups (which makes some sense). My dealership is serviced by Reliable. I thought it was random but apparently not - got that from my sales mgr (he's...
Zero interest in ALK or other "autopilot" type features. Never have, never will. Call me old fashioned. When I get in the car, it's to drive it. If you have it and like it, use it to your heart's content. But still best to keep your hands on the wheel. Anything else that you're thinking...
Right - the parts thing is very hit and miss. My sister just had a Macan S delivered and it also was without any missing parts. Actually just spent 4 hours with my sales manager on the golf course and had a lot to talk about. They're not a high volume dealership, but they've only had a few...
I have heard that the factory shutdown has already started. I have no way of knowing for sure - saw that on a post on Rennlist on a 911/992 thread similar to this one (people with cars on order). I spoke with my sales manager today and he is not aware of any stoppages of production lines due...
Yes. It’s on its way. I plan to see it Monday afternoon. The SM also gets a report on parts missing such as the electronic steering column adjustment. Mine appears to be “clean.”
Have your dealership run a tracking report for you from their PSVM system. It will give a couple more milestones during production and see if it correlates with your TYD dates. It shouldn't take more than a week in production without issues - but they're now in the summer shutdown - assembly...
Mine arrived in Baltimore a few days ago. The TYD screen tracked it very accurately across the Atlantic. I didn't bother with any satellite tracking service as this updated continuously and counted down the miles to dealership in the upper left corner.
Not unusual when a ship arrives outside port on a Friday, especially if there's a ship currently moored in its spot. They will stay off the coast until very early Monday morning and then bring it in. Presumably they wouldn't be able to unload until then anyway.
