As long as the business is party that leases the car, whether contract hire or BCP , all the tax breaks are available (and in the case of contract hire, the VAT breaks).
BCP may be worse than buying, but it will save me hassle at the end and if the car has been a good one, my options are open...
I’ve calculated all the numbers for Contract Hire (CH), Business Contract Purchase (BCP) and paying cash. CH and BCP are quite close in effective costs per month over the term of the deal so for me BCP wins as it adds flexibility.
Cash is far better BUT this is dependant on the value at the...
Thank you. Paying cash is an option, but ties up a lot of capital and you can't recover any VAT. Whether it works out cheaper or not than other methods also depends on what you can sell it for and the second-hand EV market isn't a known quantity, yet, IMHO.
Business Contract Purchase seems a...
In the UK (elsewhere also I assume) there are tax benefits to getting an electric car via a business. This is my plan and I've placed my order but I'm keen to know whether other UK owners have done this via their limited company by way of a BCP or a Contract Hire route. I am aware each is...
Do dealerships (UK) in larger towns/cities get more allocations than those in smaller towns/cities? Ive no idea how Germany allocate build slots to all the dealerships with orders!
Hi Mark - Porsche Chester was my second choice as I'm from just down the road. Spoke to Daniel there. But Guildford is local (at the moment so went with them so I could return and speak to them if needed).
Got a commission number now off the dealer. I'm told its just for internal purposes though. I'm happy to now sit and wait as it seems it must all be on a system ready to chug along.
So, I have filled out the order forms, signed, etc, sent them back with a 5k deposit. Should I be expecting confirmation of the order? Or something to say it's logged on the system?? So far just an email saying the 5k has been received.
Thanks Beardo. I ordered the CT4S, so it's likely to be a MY2023. If they bothered to update the WLTP results, I guess the CT would show over 300 miles.
I have been using a manual 'fuel' filler cap for 25 years and never once thought, "jees, I wish this thing was motorised!". I agree that its just something to potentially go wrong when you most need it to work, i.e. when you need to recharge, but at the same time I can see the little black...
Thanks. So with the update, Porsche at least would say the CT and ST could both achieve over 300 miles.... even tho we all know this would not be achieved in real world. Im just making sure that for MY2023 there should be no difference in the range ability of the CT and ST
Thanks, appreciate your response. The reason to ask was that if I got the CT back on test and on the drive in the CT's 'Normal' height, whether this is a fair comparison with the ST in its 'Lift' height, therefore if the CT in normal works ok, then the ST in Lift will do so aswell. And then...
