Maybe some others will find this info useful. I have a Turbo ordered for delivery in USA (Boston area). My original schedule as of 1/27 was:
(Planned - Expected)
V250 (locked): 2/7 - 2/21
V300 (produced): 2/28 - 3/20
V900 (delivered): 4/17-5/1
Today I received this update:
V250: 2/21...
Part of the magic of TSLA is that they don't actually make any money, their margins are basically zero, possibly even negative. So yes, you get a lot relative to what you pay for. This is probably why other car companies have been so slow to compete with them . . . they prefer actually making...
The comparison of these two vehicles is overdone and tends to be too simplistic. I was in the market for a new car, not necessarily an EV, and didn't even consider a Tesla. Some/most/all of this is opinion, but the Tesla exterior styling is dated and was just ok when it was new anyway. The...
Is there a difference in range between summer vs all season? I feel like the difference in range reported between 19/20" wheels vs 21" wheels is actually tire rolling resistance difference, so wondering if there are 21" tires that have more or less range.
Me neither . . . I think the dealer tried to sell it to me last time I bought a car and I thought it was a scam. Sounds most interesting for painted wheels actually. Would that work? How long does it take to get done? It's going to be hard to give up time with the car once delivered!
I got my schedule from dealer yesterday for a Turbo. Using the 'planned' column since I want to be optimistic . . . Locks 2/7 for 4/17 delivery. Seems like I must have gotten lucky because I just walked into a dealer and was able to order this a few weeks ago. Never put down a deposit to get...
Here's my volcano grey build . . . expected March. I kind of wanted the chalk interior, but I was afraid I wouldn't like it in real life and/or that it wouldn't wear well. I also wanted fancier 21" wheels, but didn't want to give up the range to get them. I did go overboard on carbon fiber...
Do you set the charge level you want it to go to on an app or on the car or something? Or once you plug it in, does it just charge until full? (Which is really ~90% full).
I don't pretend to be an expert on this issue, but I went to test drive a [not Taycan] car at a dealer this weekend. They had a Turbo S model that was supposedly their demo. I was unaware that deliveries of the car had even started, but was obviously very interested in the Taycan once I saw...
